Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today....
The Quinjet has been landed and secured in a location where the Avengers can locate it easily.

And thanks to the internet, they're already at the first wedding chapel on Charlie's list, The Temple of Love. Quick 'n easy, while maintain some level of class at the same time. Perfect for Anya.

Inhaling, Charlie threw the doors open, the rest of the Avengers behind him.

"I OBJECT!"

Only to find that the couple currently in standing in front of Elvis exchanging vows aren't Anya and Steve.

Sammy had come prepared. Along with the run kit over her shoulder, she had her digital camera ready.

She snapped pictures of Charlie heroically attempting to prevent Elvis from marrying two complete strangers.

According to Charlie's list at least, the next most popular chapel in Vegas for a quickie-wedding was "Crazy Eddie's Love Shack."

The doors themselves were would, but the hinges were metal. They swung open under Toni's mutant power with a simple gesture. "Girl, you damn well better not be married...!"

There was another Elvis officiating and he just stared at the intruders for a moment. "Hey there little lady. Is there something we can help you with?" The couple standing in front of him were clearly not the people Toni was looking for.

James had to laugh. Toni and Charlie were so hell bent on stopping the wedding that they obviously weren't thinking clearly. If they were, they'd realize that they could find Steve by his Avengers ID card.

Iason really has no idea what they hope to accomplish with all of this. Given that half his knowledge of the realities of human mating customs, aside from his dad's and Aunt Sersi's stories, which he's convinced are not 'normal' by any stretch of the imagination, suggests that this is probably some kind of misunderstanding, and even if it isn't, its not his place to interfere, he heads for the casinos instead. Some of the entertainment seems fascinating enough, and besides, having now overseen some of these games of chance, his ability to calculate probabilities should he need to, and the focus of the players involved, he's wondering if maybe taking up poker would be a good hobby.

Anya and Steve were making their way across the casino floor on their way to dinner before the concert when Anya thought she saw a familiar face. She nudged Steve. "Is that who I think it is?"

He is fairly distinctive. By the time they notice and confirm their suspicion, he's testing his theory, keeping up with a group of players at one of the tables that seems to have found a new patsy, as he's learning the rules, and typical for a new player with experienced Vegas regulars, not doing well. He doesn't seem daunted by this, continuing to dole out the chips needed to stay in the game.

Despite his senses, its Vegas. Over all the flashing lights, slot machine chinks and clicks and ringing sirens, he hasn't noticed them.

The Elvis who was officiating the ceremony between a very pregnant woman and her groom looked at the intruders. "We weren't at the objection part yet," he said. "Is there a reason why this couple shouldn't be joined together in marriage?"

James had to laugh. This whole trip was just a comedy of errors and it was only getting better as it went on. He'd have to remember to get a copy of the photos from Sammy afterward.
