Attack on Xavier's
Penny stepped out of the cab and didn't look back to see if Winterkill and Breakneck were getting out. They would follow, of that she had no doubt. They had a mission to do. Penny smiled. They'd have fun doing it too.

Penny smiled more as she practically bounced up to the gate. Makeup covered the bruise she had because of that bastard breaking her nose. Anger bubbled up, but she pushed it back. She couldn't afford to let real emotions get the best of her. She had to play a part right now.

Smiling into the security camera, Penny pressed the buzzer.

Blake's job is simple - put down resistance before some of the others get there, collect samples, and be ready to help evac.

He knocks out some black kid before he can do - well, whatever it was he was going to do, and goes tearing down a hallway looking for trouble.

The fact he's headed for the girl's wing is just coincidence. Really. An accient of navigation Mikhaila doesn't need to know about. Damn her for taking out the teenage hottie anyway.

The sudden blackout is of course, confusing.

And then there's the sound of violence in the halls. Leech loathes violence; he's generally considered it a good thing that the world isn't missing out on too much from his non-heroism, because though he's trained reasonably well over the years, he isn't suited for it.

Leech can't see in the dark like Lucy. But he grew up underground; low-light isn't going to keep him from telling that someone just ruthlessly knocked David out.
A hand reaches out at the figure heading towards the girls dorm. Leech doesn't have to shake to use his powers.

Blake almost stumbles as his super speed fades. "Damnit, I thought we... oh, hey. You must be Leech, huh? Well guess what... we're the Marauders. Bet you ain't heard that in a while, huh?" he asks, advancing.
He's still an all-state athlete, and no stranger to brawling. He's definitely not afraid to mix it up without his powers.

The word itself is terrifying, yes. "Guess even monsters have fanboys."

Leech is in fine shape himself, and while he can't say he's not afraid to mix it up, if it keeps this guy's attention long enough for the others to get things under control, bring it on.

He stands his ground and squares off as best he can to defend himself.

What's really going to save some lives about the approach? Blake isn't the school bully - he's not backing down because he's challenged. But he is a sociopath, being a new generation Marauder works for him because he enjoys the work. And while Leech isn't his favored kind of target, he does play with his food regardless.

He drops into a boxing crouch, rolling his neck and shoulders, hands coming up to ready. He feints a couple times, grinning like a maniac at any reaction, before going for a couple testing jabs, feeling out his opponent like a predator stalking its prey.

"How was it you survived the last time? Found some corner or drainpipe to hide in? If you want to run and hide, boy, it might work a second time."

It's not necessarily a bad thing to have well-exercised muscles and combat skills that are mostly practiced in terms of blocking.

Until he keeps callously speaking of the death of your mother and your sisters and your city and you have to punch him in the face.

That was what he was looking for. A sore spot, a raw nerve. The first punch hits, bloodying his nose. Blake just grins and swings back with a left-right combo.
"That was it, wasn't it? While Erg and Sunder and even fuckin' Piper were tryin' and dyin', you ran and hid like a little bedwetter. You heard yer momma screamin', an' still couldn't move, like a poor little mouse, huh? What're you gonna do when I hurt you, boy? I hurt you bad, but let you live... to hear 'em screamin' an' cryin'? Wonderin' just what I'm doing to yer poor little girls. You gonna curl up in a ball and wish you were back home in the sewer, huh?"

Leech hisses as he's struck, still lashing out.

And through a mouthful of blood, nearly two decades of speech therapy go out the window. "Jackass not get near girls!" Trying to grab hold of the guy. "Not talk about Mama."

Now he's fighting on Blake's territory, and he's going to make this one /hurt/ in as many ways as he can. Leech grabs hold, and Blake switches seamlessly to wrestling, trying to slam Leech back against the wall with greater mass, and gouge for his throat.

"I'll talk about yer mama if I please. So what'd they do to her? I hear Sabretooth, Scalphunter, they were some bad dudes. Think they had some fun with her first? Or just bled her out nice and slow and let her scream?"
He swings his free hand again.
"You're from around here, what'cha think? I see three doors in front of me, all girlied up. Which one of 'em should I take first? Any real cuties up here?"

Being slammed into the wall is, of course, decidedly unpleasant The attmpted throat-gouging, though, was interrupted, because Leech makes a living hefting around heavy things and he shoves the bastard off, though definitely not far, not with the wind knocked out of him. He's barely taken a breath before he's at him again; can't let him get anywhere.

Blake swings back. This one has some fight to him, and he's just too much fun, keeping him reacting.
He kicks out towards a knee, then swings for the jaw.
"You're just no help at all. How about that door there, with the flowery bulletin board on it? Bet there's some sweet young thing cowering in there, don't ya think?"

Leech manages to avoid the punch, but not the kick to the knee. He just tries to drag the guy down with him as he falls.

"Go hell," he mutters between clenched teeth.

Its a bit of a struggle, but he manages to stay upright. Blake has spent plenty of time learning his brawling. When he pulls free, he goes for the kicks to the gut and legs of the downed mutant.

"No problem. I'll say hi to your momma while I'm at it."

Wincing oddly quietly, Leech tries to turn to minimize his exposure for a moment before trying to struggle to his feet.

"Strong silent type, eh? Or maybe not so strong. You put up a good fight, but its going to be too little, too late... just like the X-Men last time. I mean, really, how many did they save?" he asks as he swings away, savoring the fight now. "And out of how many? You sure you picked the right side? Or maybe you were just too much of a mama's boy to side with anyone with real strength."
