Again, the cards score on his flesh, drawing cries of pain from the Man Without Fear. By now, he's already dropped one of his batons, but he's still got a hand on the other. Daredevil suspects that there are more of those projectiles on hand, and Bullseye's main advantage over him right now is that his enemy can see, where as Matt can't.
So Matt decides to test out a little something that a friend suggested to him awhile ago. He'd only had one of these batons outfitted with this modification, and he'd never seen a use for it until now. Pressing the button on the end of the baton releases a very small bulb at the opposing end.
He presses the button again and the bulb emits a sharp, two-second flash designed to impair vision. Daredevil won't have an issue with it, but it could be an issue for people not expecting it.
It's not anything that can't be overcome, but it's not something he normally does, which might buy him enough time to figure out where Bullseye is while he arms Tasha's Widow's Bite to try to land a telling blow.
