They've done this dance enough that Matt knows Bullseye will go after his weaknesses as best he can. When the dog whistles go off from the speakers, it hurts like hell, but Daredevil has enough presence of mind to throw himself to the floor and try to get out of the open, because Bullseye will take advantage of any momentary weakness.
As long as I can focus on his heartbeat through the sound, I'll be fine. he thinks.
Just then, the sound of Bullseye's heartbeat catches him off-guard and now it's more difficult than ever to concentrate. It takes his mind away from loud pop and the following confetti, which he can't get a read on, even as it falls around him.
The cards cut him in his arms and on his thigh, drawing a groan of pain from the Guardian Devil. He'd walked into this trap like an idiot and now he was paying for it.
He manages to crawl behind a cargo crate (he hopes that's what it is) while he tries to get his senses and mind together in order to mount an offense of some sort.
