The call comes in about 4:20 am EST.

A man in crimson armor climbs out of a harbor in Manhattan, barely able to stand. He collapses, water-logged and battered, upon the ground. He lit up American airspace alerts two or three miles out, but he moved too quickly for anyone to mount an adequate response.

Two hours later, Crimson Dynamo sits in an interrogation room on the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, awaiting someone, anyone who will hear him out. It galls him to ask the Americans for help, but he has no choice.

He is betraying his country to save it from a monster.

"I have reason to believe the President's mind is not his own. He is being influenced by an outside source, which is dictating his policy. The recent crackdowns and arrests of citizens remind me of how it was under the Curtain.

He is trying to take Russia backwards and those who speak against him are punished...as the original Winter Guard has been." the Dynamo says.

"The original members are currently 'relieved of duty' for speaking out. The new Winter Guard is much like your Fifty State Initiative was; a police force in every state that answers only to the president." Crimson Dynamo says.

"I left Russia only after I went to see President Karloff and found him speaking with a man called the Red Ghost. He is a known criminal in Russia. I want to believe President Karloff is being influenced or pressured, but I have to proof to go upon.

And he sent people to harry me across the ocean. I did not know where else to turn." he says, looking down.
