One By One
Natasha had a list of names of possible Secret Avengers, as the team was going to unofficially be called, that she and Steve had put together. Now it was time to go and talk to each of them to see if they would be interested.

She went to the first name on the list.

Natasha chuckled. "How would you like to be an active Avenger again? Make a bigger difference than just beating up some street thugs."

"I don't know me and teams haven't worked out all that well in the past," Marc says. He also did feel like he had a lot going on already with the changes he was trying to make in himself to be a better hero.

"I fully understand," Natasha said. She herself was never really suited for teams and she wouldn't even be considering this if anyone other than Steve had asked.

"This is a black-ops type of Avengers team," she explained. "One who isn't out in the public eye and can do the dirty work the other team can't touch. I know you and your abilities and thought you would fit. I understand if you don't want to do the team thing."

The time she spent with the makeshift team she was on with Marc seemed like another lifetime ago.

"Sounds a bit different from the teams I've been on in the past," Marc says thinking.

"What exactly would this team want from me," he asked.

Marc was silent for a few moments. "I always was better at the individual sports and events," Marc admitted, "But I suppose I could give it a try and see what happens it honestly can't end much worse than my last try with a team."
