"I fully understand," Natasha said. She herself was never really suited for teams and she wouldn't even be considering this if anyone other than Steve had asked.
"This is a black-ops type of Avengers team," she explained. "One who isn't out in the public eye and can do the dirty work the other team can't touch. I know you and your abilities and thought you would fit. I understand if you don't want to do the team thing."
The time she spent with the makeshift team she was on with Marc seemed like another lifetime ago.
