'He shood be here soon.'  Blackheart mused to himself as he stood at the entrance of the Diabolus facility. Of course Blackheart wasn't in his true form, rather thay of his human alias, Malik Jericho. Even in a human form, "Malik" was an intimidating presence, standing at six feet five inches tall with a deep, chilling voice. As far as human guises went, Blackheart enjoyed this one. He was currently awaiting the arrival of his newest client, someone very interested in the strides Blackheart's technomancers had made in Sentinel technology.

"Not exactly. Each unit has multiple power sources within them." The power sources in this case were demonic spirits, but Ndroso didn't need to know that. "In the case of amputation or decapiation, each unit maintains a desire to fulfill it's primary programming. And not only that..."

As Malik spoke, one of the hands extended itself upward and fired a palm blast at the automated artillery, doing significant damage.

"Not as powerful as if it were connected to the main unit, but even in pieces they are still dangerous. However, the pieces must be large enough to acommadate its inner power source. For example, a lone Sentinel finger will likely stay as it lies."

"Still, Mr. Jericho, this is amazing. The Americans only /wish/ they had Sentinels such as these. Did you know that there are barely one-thousand mutants left world wide after the Decimation? They are right to hide away and die, for the gods have judged them unworthy to survive." Ndroso says.

"You have made true progress with this technology..and you have been invaluable to my campaign. Thank you for this. I will put it to good use." he says.

"How many do we have ready at this time?" he asks.

Blackheart merely smiled at Ndroso's proclamation of gods. Perhaps one day he'd be worshipped as one.

"Thank you, Mr. President. However I gain as much as you in this endeavor. Here, in Ghudaza, I do not have to worry about SHIELD, Stark, no one looking over my shoulder. You have given me peace of mind to ply my trade, and for that I am grateful."

Jericho's smiles beams in an almost sinister way.

"Four dozen with two more nearly finished. They will be ready fo use within the day."

"You will have that peace of mind as long as you require it, Mr. Jericho. Ghudaza is open and welcome to Diabolous as long as necessary." Ndroso says.

"These will come in handy against the dissidents in my government. All of them are mutants who want to take freedom away from those of us without powers. It sickens me that they dare claim superiority over humanity...but now the odds are even." he says darkly.

"Indeed they are, Mr. President." Malik's voice turned serious. "A word of warning: The process that grants these units their multiple power sources is a long one. Use these units carefully for replacing them will take considerable time."

Jericho turns his head to look directly at Ndroso.

"You know this intiative of yours will not go unnoticed." It was as much a statement as a question.

Ndroso takes a deep breath. "I will not use these units without caution, my friend. And I know that there will be many who dislike what I am doing, but the United States has done much the same thing. Other countries have their own initiatives. If they speak out against me, I will turn their assertions back upon them and call them on their hypocrisy." he says.

"But mutants murdered my family, Mr. Jericho. They murder thousands every day with powers they can barely control. Who will stand up for us, if I do not?" he asks.

"Oh I understand completely, Mr. President. However, it is not the United States that concerns me.I refer to the island of 'Utopia'. With each passing day it becomes closer and closer to be an accepted nation. Their leaders will be a problem." That sinister smile returned to Malik's lips.

"However, I am not without ammunition of my own. Consider this a bonus." Jericho pulls out a photo, taken via satellite and hands it to Ndroso. It shows known mutant terrorists Magneto and Exodus setting foot on the island.

Ndroso's eyes widen as he looks at the photo. Oh, this was just /too/ perfect. Utopia was now harboring known terrorists within their borders. Who would ally with them now, once the this information came out?

The United Nations, SHIELD, all of the would want answers, if they didn't immediately move against them.

"This is excellent, Mr. Jericho. No one will dare speak against us, least of all Utopia, or we will turn the world against them in one strike." Dhamir says.

"There will be nowhere left for them to run."

"Yes, this isolates the mutants politically, but it will not stop them completely. Remember Mr. President, the X-Men are zealots as surely as the Brotherhood or Acolytes were. They believe that they are doing the right thing for their 'people'. That belief in their goals makes them dangerous, even more so than their powers. They will strike against your efforts, the only questions are 'how' and 'when'. You must be ready for when they do."

"You are right, Mr. Jericho. These weapons are but one portion of things, but...how can I hobble them before we can stop them completely? Perhaps I should just let them have the mutants here, giving the X-Men another issue to deal with and putting them in one place for the United States to deal with as they choose?" Ndroso says, considering.

"This is your nation and your people, Mr. President." Malik states calmly. "I would not feel right advising you on your foreign policy. I am after all, when it all boils down, a businessman. In the end, it is up to you how to deal with the mutants."

Jericho then smiles.

"Of course that doesn't mean I will not be available for hypothetical future transactions. Diabolous is spreading, it's influence growing. Information, technology, even foreign super-powered mercenaries should you ask. However, that is the only role I can fill."

"And it is the only role you should fill, Mr. Jericho. My apologies for asking you to step out of your element. I'll find a way to deal with Utopia and its ilk soon enough." Ndroso says.

"In any event, I must go. I've got a victory dinner to attend and more appearances to make tomorrow. Can I walk you out?" he asks.

"No apologies necessary, my friend. I simply do not want to fall into the stereotype of the rich businessman who believes he can tell other countries how to live." Malik says with a chuckle.

"I will be busy soon myself. I have to fly to America in the morning to finalize a business merger. I will not keep you any longer. Good luck to you, Mr. President. May your efforts bear fruit."

"And thank you again for all your help, my friend. I hope to see you again soon, with video of the next victory that you've helped make possible." he says, bowing to Jericho.

"I look forward it. Good day, Mr. President." Malik smiles as he watches Ndroso leave. Now it begins.

END.
