You Can Go Home Again (open)
Natasha took a deep breath and stepped through the open gate of the Avengers' Mansion. It was difficult coming back here, but she told Tony she would stop and see everyone and the Widow always kept her word. They were her friends, her family, and she needed to see them. They were a reminder that she was still human and hadn't been consumed by the darkness that she worked in.

Slowly she walked up the walkway to the front door.

And speaking of Tony, he just happens to be leaving the mansion as Natasha arrives, having stopped in to check the place out and make sure everyone is okay. When he sees her, he smiles brightly.

"You look familiar. Have we met? My name is Tony Stark, but you can call me anything you want if you'll run away with me tonight." he grins.

"Seriously, Tasha, I'm glad you're doing this. I'm sure Cap and the others are around and they'd love to see you." he says.

"No, not every woman. I have this thing for redheads, mostly. I'd love to talk to you more about it if you have the time." he grins.

"You're welcome here, Tasha. I hope you'll remember that after today and stop by more often. This place is nice, but...sometimes I feel like we're all too spread out. Never mind." he says.

"Come on in, please." he says, opening the door.

"Oh, you owe me a sparring match, by the way." he says.

Tony mimed zipping his lips and led Tasha to the kitchen to get make her some tea. "Jarvis found this new herbal stuff that's supposed to be pretty good. Would you like to try that or go with your usual?"

He'll wait for her to choose, then set up the tea-maker/espresso machine to make her drink.

"And, for the record, I have a valid excuse for forgetting to eat. But Pepper isn't here to give it to you, so we'll just table that discussion until I can have her e-mail it to you." he jokes.

"Hey, if you listen to the tabloids, I'm always on vacation. In fact, I stole the Moscow Ballet and ran off to some private island a few weeks ago." Tony says.

"Apparently, someone got wind of my taste for Russian women and spun a yarn about it. I'm going to have to try that, though. I've never had an entire ballet before." Tony says, pretending to ponder the idea.

"Things with the team are good, though I'm hearing a disturbing rumor or two about a couple of people. Thor's been out of touch, but if he needed us, he knows he can call and we'd come.

I'm sure he's okay, though." he says, taking another sip.

"Meanwhile, the roster is looking good these days. A lot of our founders are here, and it's always nice to see friends like you drop in." he smiles.

"Yes, that's true. Thor's a big god. He can take care of himself." Tony smiles.

"Hey, I don't know that anyone considered you off the team, but you're welcome. Fury might not like it, though. He's got this strange notion that you exist to work at his beck and call. You know, like the rest of the world." Tony says.

The jab at Fury wasn't necessary, but sometimes Tony liked Nick Fury and other times, he couldn't stand the guy. Pompous, arrogant, and assured that the world revolved around him.

The fact that some people said those same things about Tony Stark was irrelevant.
