On The Road (Clint, Bullseye, and eventually Bobbi)
Monday morning, Clint Barton has his bags packed and ready to go. He left word with Hank that he was going out of town for a few days and waited for the courier to arrive downstairs.

A mousy little man arrives, handing Clint a GPS locator and the black Haliburton briefcase. The man opens it to reveal the contents, a set of  four small micro-processing units each valued at over one million dollars apiece. All he had to do was get that to his contact in Vegas, and they'd pay him on delivery.

Once he's got the briefcase in hand, he heads to the airport, where he's informed that his employer called ahead and got through the normal lines and to a special area where they check his gear and the briefcase. The moment he's cleared, he's allowed to board the plane in First Class before anyone else.

"Okay, I could get to like this treatment." Clint says to no one in particular.

-Five hours later-

The plane touches down in Denver, Colorado and Clint waits until the plane is empty to leave. Heading down the ramp, he's greeted by a pretty young woman who hands him a set of keys to the rental bike he asked for before leaving New York.

Ten minutes later, he's on the road heading West toward Nevada, briefcase secured on the bike behind him.

Lester is grinning to beat the band, bouncing on the balls of his feet with excitement as he watches the explosion that sends the the bike and it's passenger flying.

The hired henchmen are already scrambling down toward the accident, looking first for the briefcase. Bullseye has instructed them that this is their primary objective. Find the briefcase, or else join the other corpse at the side of the road; which they'll probably do anyway. He's pretty sure.

Movement from the corner of his eye draws Bullseye's attention to the wreckage of the bike, where a figure tries to struggle to his feet, crawling along the ground. The courier - he was still alive.

Angry, Bullseye stalks to the slope of the hill and slides down on the soles of his boots with surprising grace. His gun is drawn and in his hand as he comes up on the man from behind, his rage beginning to focus, channeling into the amusement of a game. The courier had escaped level one of their game, but level two is a real doozy. He cocks the hammer and takes aim.

Aiming a kick to the man's side, Bullseye waits for the courier to roll over before pulling the trigger - but when he does, Lester stops. He recognizes the man's face. "Ha!" He bursts out mirthlessly, a smile stretched rictus-like across his face. This presents him with some interesting opportunities.

'Hey, boss,' one of the henchmen says. 'We found the case.'

Bullseye takes it from him without thanking him, and fires two shots in quick succession - one into each of the hired goons he brought with him. To the man at his feet, he says, "Well, Barton - looks like it's just you 'n me. How's about we go visit that pretty wife 'a yours, huh?"

Checking him for weapons and getting rid of any he finds, Bullseye slings Barton over his shoulder in a fireman carry, grasping the briefcase in one hand, and carried them back to his van.

Clint hears that voice, and he knows it, knows it as well as he knows his own. He hates Bullseye with every fiber of his being, mostly because the bastard took his identity and tarnished it. He helped Osborn tarnish the Avengers, too.

He thinks Bullseye's going to kill him, but then the thugs die and Clint can't follow what's going on. He's about to swing at Bullseye, but the kick sends him sprawling once again.

Clint doesn't know what the hell is happening, but his thoughts focus when Bullseye mentions Bobbi.

"You...stay away from her...or I swear...I'll kill you. I'll kill you...sonofabitch..." Clint says, slurring his words.

"Ah, ah, ah," Bullseye admonishes easily. "Now, now... is that the thanks I get for not killing you, and for bringing you with me? Cuz I could have left you dead on the pavement with the boys back there. I could still take you back there, if that's what you want.

"Either way," he confides. "I'm still going ta find your wife. She's been assigned to protect the guy you were gonna give the case to. Lucky you, hah? I need him, so let's go give old wifey-poo a visit."

Tossing Clint in the back of the van, he slammed the door and went around to the driver's seat.
