There is a fine difference between the act of ignoring and the act of avoiding. It is a difference not lost on Emma. True enough that Namor had been giving her adequate attention, but it was clear that he was avoiding her. To be fair, Emma had been avoiding him as well but it was easier for her. As a guest in a strange land (or sea, as it were) with everything new and different to her it was simple to spend the long hours that Namor devoted elsewhere. There was much to explore.
And playing with the jewelry was a fabulous expenditure of time.
Yet they both had been dancing around things long enough. Emma could feel the shift in things. They would have to face one another. The flirtation had been one thing, the extended visit to Atlantis had been another, but this...well. The natives were asking questions of what they saw. Emma was asking questions of herself.
She'd acquainted herself with Namor's general schedule and this night, when his duties had run out, she was waiting for him, done up and dressed in some of the exquisite clothing he had lavished upon her.
White, of course.
"Hello, darling."
