resource: flexible squares layout

Original poster: darlingdari

Hey, guys! Want layouts for your character journals like mine?

Go here and create a new style. Name it anything you want. I've named mine Flexible Squares. On the next page, it will ask you to select a language and a layout. Language is whatever you want. For the Layout, scroll to the bottom of the list and choose other. In the box that now appears on the right, type in 17233. Click on save changes.

Next to your new Style on the Your Styles page, click the "Use" button.

Now it's time to head to the main customization area. Click on "Custom CSS" and set the following options.

Use layout stylesheets: No
Use layout's stylesheet(s) when including custom external stylesheet: No
Use external stylesheets: Yes

You'll need to make sure you have your link list set up and put something in the free text box, which you can edit here

Edit your header URL into the CSS code at the bottom where is says "YOUR HEADER HERE," tweak background color, etc to compliment your header and save! Also, if you scroll to where it says "YOUR CHARACTER FONT," and type in the name of whatever font you wish to represent your character, it will display the free text in your character's font instead of the browser default. :)

*you can actually use this tutorial to put up ANY Flexible Squares based layout on Inksome. You would just post the CSS code for the layout you want to use instead of the code I have included in the textarea here. The one I am using came from here and just has a few minor alterations by me and she has a lot of other really gorgeous layouts you can choose from.

Also, for really great profile layouts and things, check out this community - rp-tutorials on ij.
