"Thank you. So what brings you to the home of the A-team? Just stopping by to say hi, or can I help you with something?" he asked as he grabbed a rag and started wiping his hands.
"I come to the home of the team /whose name happens to begin with an A/ in order to discuss manicures."
Bobby chuckled. The A-Team joke was a long running family joke started by their parents and happily continued by the kids. He looked at his hands and nails. "I do need one. It has been awhile," he grinned.
Catalina laughs. She pulls out her little saw. "I just can't seem to keep an edge on this thing. I don't want to keep getting new ones --" even if Dad would happily buy her new ones "--all the time, or bothering Granpa Hank about it. What's your take on good metal-sharpening options?"
He took the saw and looked at the dulled edge. "Metal is so last century," he said. "I bet I could whip up a laser cutter. You'd get cleaner, smoother edges and you'd never have to worry about it going dull."
The patented Stark smile appeared on his face. "Darling, I could make it smaller than your pretty little pinky. I could even make it pink. Or whatever color you prefer."
"I was overdosed a little on pink as a child, thanks to mom. But red, to match the toothbrush and the lipstick case, would be delightful." Familial cheek-kiss! "You're the best cousin ever."
"Of course I am," he said with a grin. "Just make sure you tell Suze and AJ that. Often. Red it is. Let's go to the lab. I can have it done in a few minutes."
"They'll be the best cousin ever on some other occasion," she said earnestly. "Thanks." And she'll follow.
Bobby will lead her into the lab in one of the sub-basements and pull out a stool for her. He collected various bits of electronics from different areas of the lab and placed them on the table in front of him. "So what else have you been up to?" he asked as he started to bring the pieces together with his abilities.
"All the stuff with the Red Cross-and-Crescent have gone well. Helped Mom proofread her new book on linguistics and Dad set up the new infirmary at the center."
"I'm a McCoy. Editing books on linguists is fun." Catalina grins. "I've had plenty of time to relax between things, too."
"Good. Because all work and no play makes life very boring. Are you dating anyone, or has Uncle Misha and Logan scared away all the boys?"
"Good girl," he said with a smile. "Nothing makes you have more regrets than a drunken one night stand." Bobby would know a little about this. He had enough of them.
"Geez. You're making it sound like I'm getting married. I have a girlfriend now. I wouldn't qualify that as settling down."
"Point," he said. "Try this," he said as he snapped the last piece in place and then handed it to her. "Not too powerful, but should be enough for your needs."
"Thank you," Catalina says as she takes it and carefully cuts a shaving of bone off of her thumbnail. "Oh, this works great."
"It should last awhile before it needs a new power source." He grinned and offered a cheek. "Who's you favorite cousin?"
"Don't you forget it," he chuckled. "Can I interest you in some ice cream? I know for a fact the freezer was just restocked."
