On the edge of the known galaxy, is a small binary star system made up of a yellow, main-sequence star and a white dwarf. Around the main-sequence star, four planets orbit: Convector, Feronira, Averrunci, and Vesta. Convector orbits close to the main star, and is a tiny, broiling rock. Averrunci is a large, gas giant, and is sometimes theorized to have been a failed star. Very little is known about Vestia, as preliminary serveys suggested a lack of important materials.
Most important in this star system is the planet of Feronira. Feronira is a small, terrestrial planet with a semi-temperate climate and a reasonable gravity. There is a low occurence of metals on Feronira, but to the great interest of the Confederation of Terran Planets, a high occurance of the valuble element promethium. The weather varies wildly from season to season-- extremely hot and dry during the summer, when it's two suns are close to the little planet. Wet and cold during the farthest parts of the orbit. Thanks to it's semi-temperate climate, Feronira is home to a mydrid of plant and animal life, as well as three sentient races: Humans, Algoldhi, and the People. Humans are the newest of the three to the planet, having made landfall as recent as fifty years ago. The Algoldhi are bi-pedal beings that resemble the human idea of "demons" and records indicate that they have inabited Feronira for several centuries. The animal-like People are planetary natives. Feronira is a recent addition to the Confederation of Terran Planets and due to the low-technological society of it's inhabitants, it is classified as a Class D protected planet: No interference with local governments, and no unauthorized technology outside of sanctioned areas.
