Sarah manages to take the blade on the shield, and swings the hammer in response. Normally, she can read an opponent, the way her father taught her - but shapeshifters can be odd about that, and don't broadcast the way she's used to.
"Time. You're not only throwing this world out of balance, but many others as well. Were there any other way, I wouldn't be out to put you down."
