Uh-oh.
The next day at the Institute was very nice. Gwenny talked at breakfast with Miss Laura Kinney, who'd brought them there and was warming up to the whole situation. Miss Kinney introduced Gwenny to her visiting brother, Mr. Logan. He seemed very nice. He lived most of the time in Tokyo, but he wasn't a fascist.
Miss Rogers was with the big blue fuzzy man, Dr. McCoy, translating the Tallus's poetry. They'd grabbeda bite and then gone to finish up with that.

And then Gwenny realized whom she hadn't seen all morning: Mr. Kev. He wasn't anywhere to be found. Apparently, this Mr. Ramsay -- Mrs. Ramsay was just the cutest doggie ever, even if it was so sad! -- was missing, too.

Gwenny, too, looks puzzled.

But the answer will come, not from any of the Exiles, but from a voice just around the doorway.

"He's bad," little Rae Rankin says with annoyance. "Mr. Bennet calls him The False God, but my parents say he's just a bad mutant, and Mr. Bennet says things like that because he got sick in the head when Apocalypse hurt him. He hurt Uncle Warren and Dad, too. That's why they're different colors than they used to be."

"We're not sure of anything. Tasha, you're in charge of the girls, Dane, keep track of the boys. While we have some quiet, I want one person monitoring the local media at all times now til we figure out what's going on. Everyone who isn't that person is on enforced bedrest. We can't guarantee what we'll be up against or when the next time we'll have beds and hot food will be - I want everyone sleeping in shifts, eating decent meals and taking advantage. Group leaders, switch off and make sure everyone gets some enforced downtime. I'm going to go talk to the Summers again and review everything to do with En Sabbah Nur in their files in case the local one is different than ones we're familiar with."
