Welcome to Nowhere
Wherever they were, whatever they were doing, two men from different worlds find themselves in the middle of a rolling desert. While hills obscure some of the view, there seems to be a great deal of sand and not much else.

Well, aside from the faint smell of coffee and fresh baked goods off in one direction.

What an idiot Lester knew he was more dangerous with a toothpick than this guy was with that sword. Still he had to admit not slowing down at all after missing his attack.

He had grabbed a Sai which he tried to use to counter the Sword attack while his other hand grabbed a throwing knife. He was going to look for an opening to strike with if he could without kill the lunatic then great if not, all well.

This thrall wields odd weapons, but the Black Knight is not deterred. He changes stances and holds his sword ready, daring his opponent to make the first move.

"Come now, Thrall. Or has your courage abandoned you with your Master's departure?" he taunts.

“Are you a lunatic,” Lester just blurted out, “Or high!” Though to be honest he was starting to wonder if he was given what was going on.

Lester makes a feint with the sai to distract before throwing the knife at what appeared to be a weak spot in the armor of one of the arms.

"You are a servant of demons, and you call me crazy?" Dane asks, incredulous.

Dane moves to block the feint, and is very nearly surprised by the knife that comes at him. Still, his reaction time is better than that of average human beings, so he uses his sword to bat the throwing knife away.

"You are a skilled, Thrall. Many of Galam-Reth's minions aren't, so you must be prized. I'm almost sorry I have to kill you to get to him." the Black Knight says.

He lunges forward with his sword, trying to skewer the thrall and end this before Galam-Reth can strike again.

“Whoa, I nobody minion or servant,” Lester says not happy at being called that. He maybe a government operative but he was nobodies stooge.

He had to admit he was impressed that this clearly psychotic knight was able to deflect his throwing knife.

Lester is only just able to dodge out of the way of the lunge almost losing his balance. This guy was very good. Lester grabbed a fist full of sand and throws it at his opponents face to in an attempt to blind him.

The fistful of sand does, indeed, slow the Black Knight's advance. He doesn't have time to get an arm up mid-charge, and is suddenly off-balance, unable to use his eyes for a moment.

He automatically leaps to his left side, so as not to be directly in front of Bullseye in case there's another projectile coming, but he does lose his sword as he dodges away.

With the sword out of the guy’s hands maybe he can finally get that guy to stop babbling crazy nonsense. Keeping the distance between them and his weapon out and ready to strike with Lester starts talking.

“Are you ready to stop talking crazy, because I’ve got no idea who the hell you are or what the hell is going on and I don’t like that.”

Dane expected the thrall to press his advantage, to attack while he was blinded, but when no attack came, he wondered what was happening. He tried getting to his feet, the sand still irritating his eyes.

"Galam-Reth the Wrathful teleported me here when I was about to kill him. This area looks like a desert I know of, several miles outside of Thessyria. You should know all this...unless you are not truly a minion of Galam-Reth. If you are not, then how did you come to be here?" Dane asks skeptically.

He doesn't immediately call his sword back to his hand. Let the other man think he is now defenseless.

It still sounded like a lot of crazy but at least for now he had stopped trying to run him through with that sword.

“I have no idea what the hell you are talking about but I was about to kill the Number One of the Secret Empire by throwing toothpick at him from across the street and the moment before I could make the throw I was here with your crazy ass trying to kill me.”

He never let down his guard as he talked.

Dane considers this man's words. It could very well be a trick, but if it wasn't...if they were both two men who had been taken from their homes and brought to this place, what did that mean?

And who was responsible?

"Let's say I believe you for this moment. Will you work with me to determine how we've lost our course and try to get back where we are from?"

Lester though for a few moment think thing through, he wasn’t quite sure what to believe but it did seem wise to now have this man constantly trying to kill him.

“Yeah I think I could try to work with you to figure out what’s going on. I would have to guess that checking out where that smell of food is coming from might be a good place to start.”

Yes he was willing to work with him but that didn’t mean he was going to let his guard down, not even for a moment.
