Galactus and the Power Gem
Before, there was too much sudden shock and death to think much. Now, Sarah has a lot of space aboard the Shi'ar flagship. Most of the Imperial Guard has been sent to comb other corners of the galaxy, but Adam Warlock and Lilandra alike seemed fairly certain that Galactus would know something, or possibly have been somewhere the Surfer would consider 'safe' for a gem. The down side is, Galactus has not always been the most helpful of beings.
She stands on the bridge, staring out into space, and trying hard to force herself to look ahead, instead of back.

	Lilandra dared to hold her breath. Galactus giving over the gem with what was ultimately little persuasion seemed a true miracle. She accepted the gem and bowed again. "Thank you. We will defeat Thanos." With that, she turned to leave and find what was left of her guard and retrieve Sarah Rogers. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Recovering Sarah comes just in time, given the amount of damage she's taken. Her oxygen has been at critical levels for a while, and the burns are bad, plus at least a concussion. Still, the Asgardian dead were driven off, so retreiving her where she floats unconscious is easy enough. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	She's in bad shape, bloodied, bruised and torn up, but the burns are the worst. Between the ultimate strike and the dragonfire, a good portion of her skin is blackened, with her hands locked around the handles for the hammer and shield. She also doesn't look like she'll be waking up any time soon. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The healing is slow, but the effect is immediate. Sarah sits bolt upright, the gem somehow affixed to the green sash she wears. Her expression is wild and confused, but settles a little as the burns begin to recede and bleeding wounds begin to close. "What... what happened?" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Knowing the gem had such power was one thing, watching it heal Sarah was quite another.

"Galactus allowed himself to be persuaded to form an alliance to defeat Thanos. I suspect his role in this alliance will be as a spectator to see if we are successful before continuing with his own plans. You did well giving us the time we needed to speak to him. We are now on our way back to meet with the others."
