Start It Up!
With a pop of displaced air, the Exiles appear in a new place.

Most of them immediately recognize the streets of New York city, even at night from the dark alley in which they have appeared: the Empire States Building and the World Trade Center's lights can be seen in the distance. Posters for bands and upcoming concerts plaster the walls. People pass by along the city streets.

"Okay, Sarah, what's the... hello?" Patriot's voice drops off as he notices that there's someone new with them.

	Rose notes the presence of the World Trade Center and it strikes her as very weird. Then it hits her that this world is very different than the one she is from. She tries to not get upset but then notices the new person. Just seriously, what the heck. (Reply to this)(Thread)

To his credit, Tom's first reaction was not to haul off and hit someone. Instead, he went very, very still, looked around him, and then took a pull of his hip-flask, leaving the smell of strong booze wafting through the air around him.

Then he turned to look at Quinn, and (with great dignity) pointed his Shillelagh at him.

"How're yeh," he said, conversationally. "This stick is capable of plunging several very sharp and painful branches into your chest if I want it to. I don't particularly want to do that, and I somehow doubt you want me to either, so maybe you could tell me WHAT THE FUCK IS GOIN' ON?!"

The smell of whatever drink of drink that the hip flask held hit Rose hard. She made a face because the rather putrid smell made her want to turn her head away. As one of the younger members of the team she stayed away from liquor.

Rose was about to speak up then glanced back and fourth at the rest of the team. She decided that she would speak up since she could be a diplomat when she needed to.

"Hey. We didn't bring you here. Did you meet a guy? Kinda fat? Terrible at telling people anything useful?" She looks hopeful but then sighs and scratches the back of her head. "Guess not otherwise you wouldn't be confused."

	For a long moment, Tom just stared at them all. Then he lowered his stick and shook Quinn's outstretched hand. "Black Tom Cassidy. Or Woodsman, but no-one really bothers with that anymore. So, eh... who's the rest of yeh?" He glanced around the others, carefully avoiding looking at Ghost Rider. He's no-where near drunk enough to deal with that, right now. "You can call me Rose, Tom," Rose offers with a slight wave of her hand. She can't blame Tom for being cranky to put it mildly to be frank since no one likes being pulled out of their homes.

"I don't see her. Maybe she ended up somewhere near here and is making her way over? Should I go look?" Rose is a ready and willing type of person when it comes to looking out for the team.

Tom finishes shaking Patriot's hand, and watches the exchange with a certain bewildered blankness. Inside, however, he could feel gears turning. Quinn Braddock, the man had said his name was, and that was something Tom could latch onto. Patriot was also worryingly familiar- he had a distinctly Buckyish look to him.

"I could help, I suppose?" he suggests. He wouldn't know precisely what he was looking for, but an oportunity for some privacy to get his head together would be entirely welcome, right now.

	Patriot shakes his head. "If Blink's not here, then she's not here, and splitting up wouldn't be a great idea." He turns to Quinn. "You think you know something of what the Talus is telling us?" 	Initially, the poster looks like the band KISS -- a big show of men in silver and black outrageous costumes with loads of makeup. But as Patriot looks closer, he spots something unusual. He may have been frozen in ice during KISS's heyday, but those people don't seem to have KISS's makeup. And... the name of OSCULATION instead of KISS? (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
