Like old times. She blocked the plasma fire - maybe they'll take it more seriously if the mutants seem to be able to take their firepower instead of getting lucky and dodging it. If they're going to succeed, and especially if they're going to get every sentinel in the region away from the others, they have to up the ante as much as possible.
