He's been delivered to Moscow to see what he can find... to see if he can get in touch with Wanda. He moves silently around the Kremlin.

He's broken into the Kremlin before. But a new universe means new security. He's going carefully.

It will take a particularly sharp eye to spot him.

"We think we're here to help put together a team of heroes who can, together, save the world. 'Seven lights in the darkness,' it said. Wanda could be one of them." He steps closer. "In every other world we've been to, there are teams of heroes, like the Fantastic Four... only they didn't all burn out spectacularly. Wanda can be one of those heroes."

He reaches for her wrist to gently massage it. "You could be, too. On my world, you were one of my teammates."

Touching was bad. Snow White poison apple kind of bad. She looked down at his hand. For a brief moment she got lost in a memory. Similar hands touching her...that was a bad road to go down.

She wanted to believe him and wanted to believe that he was a noble soul like her own James had been. She wanted to believe the world could be a better place for humans and mutants alike. Most people didn't know what the rest of the world was like, but Natasha did. She had been out there and had seen it with her own eyes.

Her gaze lifted from his hand and she looked at him. Her eyes met his and did her heart just skip a beat?

"I will help."

"Thank you."

He finds himself staring into those eyes. Those incredible, mysterious eyes. He's been lost in those eyes before.

No. Not those eyes. Someone else's.

He looks down, to focus on massaging her wrist.

"I've met villainous versions of my friends in various worlds," he admits. "But that always seems to be the exception. In almost every world, Natasha, you've been similar to the woman I... know." There's the briefest hesitation there. She might not have noticed it. Maybe. "You believe, as I do, that you can make a difference. And today... you will."

He lets go of her wrist.

	She noticed the hesitation and it spoke volumes. "Did you lose her because of the dimension traveling or was it something else?" Natasha asked as she reached out and took his hand. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

He smiles at her. "My world is... complicated. And sometimes, loving someone just isn't enough." His smile turns sad. "Sometimes, we have been together. Other times, we haven't." He smiles more genuinely now. "But I know she's still back in my world, doing the right thing, saving people. And as long as I'm out here, doing what needs to be done, she'll still be there, saving our world."

	"We're not easy to reach," he admits. He frowns a moment, considering. "Tell me where I should wait for word from you." It's putting a lot of trust in her... it's letting her pick where he can be found at any time. If she had any plans to betray him, he just made it a lot easier... but he trusts her. 	She's beautiful as she smiles at him. And he knows that this is a bad idea. But he can't help it. And it's not like he's been seeing anyone anywhere... He wraps an arm around her and leans in. "Good luck," he whispers, and then he kisses her. Perhaps not his best idea. But it's a fun one. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
