I'm going to the pictures tonight or tomorrow, and I'm pretty sure I want to see The Wrestler. I'm really bad with decisions though. The boyfriend wants to see Seven Pounds, but I don't think it looks very good. I never jumped on the Will Smith bandwagon. He also keeps banging on about The Reader and Slumdog Millionaire, neither of which are appealing to me! :(

My question to you is, have you seen any of these films? Could you quickly sum up what you liked about them? If you've seen any of them, which would you recommend? What was good/bad etc.?

Thank youuu! :)

Why yes I can haha Ive seen so many movies over my break its nuts.
I personally dont recommend Seven Pounds. As a Will Smith fan I thought the story line lacked a lot and his performance was blah. It was supposed to be one of those movies to make go "What is going on here" but anyone with a brain hopefully figured it out 10 mins in.

I didnt see the Wrestler but I kinda want to after hearing so much about it but I might wait to see if we get it at where I work so I dont have to pay (Im cheap :P)

However, I HIGHLY recommend Slumdog Millionaire. I dont want to give away too much but its a love story but very different than like a romantic comedy type love story. Its about fate and destiny. And how this kid finds his love through the Indian version of Who Whats to Be A Millionaire. But the way the whole story is told is amazing and I just fell in love with the main actors. You might still hate it haha but I definitely think it was a great movie. It won several Golden Globes recently which were all well deserved.

Benjamin Button was also really good but I know that may not be everybody's type of movie. Good luck deciding!!

I want to see Ben Button, but it's not out here yet :(

Seeee I saw the trailer for Slumdog when I was last there, and I just didn't understand it! Is it just a series of flashbacks telling you how he knows the answer to each question? Or is there more to it?

Thank you for answering :D

Slumdog Millionaire is amazing. Trust me, you'll love it. It goes through each question and how he answers it - but the flashbacks show you his entire life story (which is incredibly heart-breaking) and ultimately lead to the reason as to why he is on the show to begin with. Its really just a biography on the main character's life, but delivered in a very clever way.
