Hey there, ladies. This will be a text only post and I hope you don't mind. I'm asking for your help in something that is incredibly important to me.

I am currently a part of the Walk for Choice 2011, which was started in Chicago in response to the events in Congress surrounding The No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act (H.R. 3) and other anti-choice legislation. Right now I'm in charge of coordinating the San Antonio, TX event and there are walks happening all over the country and in the UK and Pakistan! I urge you to check out the official site and to join us! Each participating city has a facebook event page with all the information you'll need. Even if you're not able to make it out to your city's event, please spread the word!

Sorry I haven't updated. School started a couple weeks ago and I've been getting in the swing of things.

My cat, Sassy, died. It was so devastating. She hasn't been eating well since winter break so I took her into the vet after it was obvious that she wasn't going to eat. They took blood tests and found a liver infection. They gave me a few medicines I had to give her as well as food I had to force feed, and I had to take her in to the vet every other day to get fluids. After the second time, she wasn't gaining any weight so they told me they need to put a feeding tube in her so I can feed her and get her back up to normal weight and eating on her own eventually. She got that feeding tube on Monday, I had to feed her 4 times a day as well as the medicines, but she just didn't make it. I went to go feed her again last night and she was laying in the same spot as before not moving. I called to her and she didn't answer. I pet her and she didn't move. So I felt for a heart beat and there wasn't one. I haven't stopped crying since then. I fell asleep crying and woke up crying. It's the most terrible feeling I've ever felt. She was 13, going on 14, and I've had her since I was 7. It was so sad.

We also got about 20 inches of snow. Mizzou cancelled classes before the blizzard even started and we had snow days today and yesterday. It's nice. It's only the third time in history that Mizzou has cancelled classes, and the first time they've done it before the storm even came.

FIXING EQUATIONS

As I'm sure everyone has seen,

phalange has brought up the issue of moving Equations to Livejournal.
Before you vote, I suggest everyone checks out the post HERE and look over everyone's points.

Going through the list, I feel the options are:
A.) Equations stays the same
B.) Equations stays at Scribbld, but changes are made
- What sort of changes should be made? (You do not need to answer this, but it will be helpful!)
C.) Equations moves entirely to Livejournal
D.) A mirror community is made at Livejournal, while the community here stays

For both C+D -- Should changes be made to how Equations is ran when it is moved to Livejournal? What kind of changes? Should points made at the LJ community count here?

As brought up, there is a LJ rating community called _bleedingbeauty which it looks like is ran similar to Equations and works out really well. I wasn't there long enough to get a good feel of how it is ran (it was far too active for me), but perhaps someone else is more knowledgeable on the subject.

And, of course, you are allowed to put an entirely different option I haven't thought of.

phalange made a discussion post here discussing equations moving to LJ. I'm thinking about perhaps having another post soon with a summary of points made and having everyone voting, will this work for people? Should the vote be anonymous, or should people be allowed to discuss certain points? Is there another way to go about it?

- I was thinking, perhaps for the January community we could do Year Most Envious of/Best Year through pictures, similar to the summer challenge. Are there any other suggestions for a community challenge?
