Winter Social - Friday, December 9th (open to all)
The events committee pulled off a rather impressive decorating scheme given their limited budget this year. Old silver and blue candles lit every alcove, sparkled above students heads as the floated around the ceiling. A spell created snow that fell among the candles and dissipated just as it reached the shoulders of the students partying below.
Recycled ribbons and streamers in a wintery palette draped on the walls, off the back of chairs and the small stage that graced the far end of the ballroom. Tables were draped with cloths in various shades of icy blue, some silver, some pristine white (at least until the students managed to spill their beverages).
Music hummed in the corner as a local cover band warmed up their instruments. The usual spot for photographs was set up just inside the doors. Professors wandered around the periphery, making sure the students were on their best behavior, though as these things usually ended up, the students were a lot better at misbehaving than their professors were at stopping them.

Cinna chose to ignore the sarcasm. Just because Addy was fashion-challenged didn't mean she couldn't share facts. "Have you seen Abby yet?"
This caused Addy to roll her eyes. Why ask her of all people? "Isn't she passed out on your bedroom floor?"
"If she was, then I'd know where she is!" Cinna finished her stolen drink and passed the empty cup off to a passing sophomore. "I saw Thorny talking to Luka. She can't be far away."
Addy/Cinna/Carly
Cinna just rolled her eyes. Adelaide and Abernathy were way too old to still be acting as if the other had cooties. "She can do a little bit better than your sloppy seconds," slipped out in an uncharacteristically bitchy tone. She regretted it as soon as it was out of her mouth, but Carly tended to bring out the worst in her.
Addy wrinkled her nose and debated backing out of the conversation and not particularly caring if it was graceful or not. She didn't want to know who had gotten in where or how.
Cinna completely ignored Adelaide's disappearance from the conversation, focused more on glaring down Carly. She hadn't even DONE anything to the horrible bitch. "Maybe you'll get a second glance after he's been through every last other girl on earth," she offered consolingly.
Then the sound of someone retching behind her caught her attention and she stepped momentarily to the side ensuring that Braeden was properly aimed at Cinnamyn's dress. She used a little flick of her wand to knock him a step forward and grinned as he emptied his very full stomach.
"Or maybe it won't matter how much your sparkle," she commented with a huge and evil smirk.
