Hawthorne spent much of his vacation cultivating an impressive migraine. It was the result of thought, introspection, and poor morale.
He'd texted his various ladies (as a result of them texting him first) and decided he'd need to have deep, serious conversations with them. He was in over his head, so much so that he was turning to his best friend for help. The problem with turning to his best friend being that it was Luka; that boy was in no mood to help someone else sort out their love life.
( There was always the option of hashing it out with Abby, but wasn't that messy too? )
