Hands of Flames (Open to Shadowpact) @ 10:48 pm
dc_independent:
Alexia broke into the Gotham Museum. Though broke in does do what she did justice. She blow the front door down and the door frame out with a blast of magic fire. There was one thing that Alexia did not do and that was subtly. She had found a record of a scroll with some powerful fire spell on it hidden in a Chinese painting that was currently in the possession of the Gotham Museum. She ran to where the exhibit was when she cased the place earlier that day. As she started the incantation to get the scroll the defenses active something that she hadn’t expected. After a quick battle with some statues that she blew up as fast as she could she finished the incantation and grabbed the scroll and proceeded to run out of there. As she got to the front doors that were still on fire she saw a police barricade waiting for her. “Put your hands up your under arrest,” the cops yell out to her. “Hell no,” Alexia yelled back at them. She really did not deal with authority well. As her temper and annoyance started getting the better of her, her hair and hand started to alight with flames. With a quick spell she sent blast of fire towards all the police cars at the scene. The police really didn’t know what they had gotten themselves into and the really didn’t have much of a chance against Alexia but with this much magic being flung around someone was bound to notice.

Cait and Ty returned to San Francisco after their stay in Atlantis and both in tact. Arthur had been true to his word and had been what could only be called nice (for him) to Ty. It had made Cait happy and it went a long way in helping to patch things up between father and daughter. Ty went straight to his workshop when they got back and Cait had an errand to run. She had some good news to deliver. She sent a message to Ceridan to meet her at the aquarium in San Francisco. Cait was playing and talking to the sea turtles as she waited. Despite what Iris and her Disney movies said, they did not talk like surfers.

Lian sat on the floor of her living room, playing with Alex. She had taken a blanket and laid it down on top of the rug, and put up a couple of pillows as a barrier to keep him from trying to roll away. At almost three weeks old, his little eyes darted around the room, with a wide curious look in them. Lian tickled under his little chin, smiling as he looked up at her, sucking on his thumb. Lian cooed and nudged noses with Alex, kissing the top of his head, and it stung at her to think that she should be doing this with two babies, and not just one. Thinking about Donna hurt, and it reminded her that they weren't any closer to finding her and Damien then they were three weeks ago. She had every notion to go down and track Damien down herself, but everyone else seemed to know that that was on Lian's mind, and someone always found a reason to show up at her doorstep, even though Cerdian had barely left her side since Donna was taken. Lian looked up at Cerdian, who had taken to standing over her and Alex. "You're hovering again."

Cerdian walked up the stairs to Lian's apartment with the box of chocolate, running through a breathing exercise in his head. Today, he would tell Lian that he loved her and apologize for treating her so poorly. He would find out if she had it in her heart to forgive him and then the would figure out what that meant in regard to her life now. He would tell her that he wasn't marrying anyone and that he only wanted to be with her.
Upon arriving at Lian's door, Cerdian knocks three times and waits for her to answer.
Suddenly, he realizes he forgot the flowers.

Koryak stood near the new shoreline of Atlantis and looked out across the water. He was tired, they all were, but the rebuilding of Atlantis was coming along at a pace no one had expected. The Atlanteans were a resourceful people and rebuilding their homes and city wasn't just rebuilding the physical, it was rebuilding their sense of identity. Koryak had watched his father and Queen Mera work as hard as every other citizen when it came to doing things, if not harder. Koryak was right there beside them working to do as much as he could. There were a few missing faces, most notably Cait and Cerdian's. Koryak didn't blame them. He thought it was unfair that Arthur was trying to force them to marry. He was proud his sister stood up to their father and she left to do her own thing. Koryak turned back toward the city. The water behind him erupted into spray and figures emerged and came up on the island. Koryak turned to face the invaders. "Raise the alarm!" he yelled before he was attacked.

There was no sign of Hope and her pod, but Cait sent out a message. If they were anywhere in the area they would hear it and come. Cait smiled and swam out to the mouth of the bay and waited. It didn't take long for a pod of dolphins to appear and Cait immediately spotted Hope. She kind of stood out. Hope! As soon as the dolphin was close enough Cait wrapped her arms around the pink dolphin.

J'anna had made contact in one form or another with nearly everyone she was close to since her ressurrection. There were three exceptions to that: her mother, her father, and Cerdian. She couldn't face her parents, not yet, but Cerdian was another story. He'd been turned a monster, too. Even then she'd put it off as long as possible, not out of dread but out of fear. J'anna wasn't sure what she was afraid of exactly, but the whole world seemed scarier in ways she couldn't express since she'd died. When she had her third panic attack in the university library in as many hours she realized that she needed to reach out to the only person she trusted who would actually understand where she'd been. Ditching school early she waited for Cerdian and their usual burger and shakes place, a strawberry milkshake before her. It wasn't for her, though. It was for him.

The first thing Lian had did once the Suicide Squad had gotten her safely home? Flop down on her bed. She then made calls to everyone who probably noticed that she was missing to tell them that she was fine, and needed a couple of days to herself, but people could stop over if they felt so inclined. Though she was kind of hoping that they wouldn't. She needed some time to think about things. About what happened. Damien. Cerdian. Thinking of Cerdian just made a huge hole in her stomach. They had damaged their relationship beyond repair, and Lian wasn't sure if they could fix things this time. She wanted to...she really did. But she wasn't sure if they could. A couple of days after she had returned home, Lian was lying on her bed, staring up and the ceiling and still mulling over everything in her head when she heard a knock on her door. "It's open," she called from down the hall. It was probably Tim. He called several times, and he was probably there with J'anna. Tim would ask her to go over what happened in exact detail while J'anna went through her cupboards, asking Lian if she had any real food. Lian sat up on her bed, pulling her bathrobe on over her pajamas. She might as well make herself decent.

Family Reunion (open to Atlanteans) @ 10:31 pm
dc_parent:
Arthur walked through the ruins of Poseidonis. The jewel of Atlantis lay mostly in ruins and was now floating on the surface of the ocean. Her sister city of Tritonis was in ruins on the ocean floor. Arthur's kingdom was in ruins, but the people were alive. They would rebuild and Atlantis would flourish again. Arthur would spend the rest of his life making sure of that. He looked around at the ruins of the city and the people moving about. Arthur already had the council on his back for a meeting, but he told them it could wait. He had to make sure his people were provided for first. A good majority of the newly resurrected citizens had been evacuated to Cerdia, but even Cerdia couldn't hold all of the citizens of Poseidonis. Personnel essential to rebuilding were here now and ready to get started. Arthur looked over at Mera and smiled. No matter what happened they'd get through it together. His gaze wandered and fell on Ash. Arthur had heard she had assumed the throne and with Garth's help led the surviving people of Atlantis to safety in a remote area away from the two ruined cities. When word that the dead had been restored to life, Garth and Ash led the people back to Poseidonis and they had just arrived. Mera. Garth. Dolphin. Cerdian. Ash. Just one person was missing from his family. Cait. Thoughts of his daughter added some weight to his shoulders. He had to find her and see if she had been brought back. He couldn't imagine having to go through the rest of his life without her in it.

(This takes place one week after these events)
Damien was experiencing deja vs as he exited the cab, tossing the wad of cash at the driver. His fever was still high, though he'd managed to successfully stumble his onto and off of a private airplane (hiding in the freezing cargo hold) and get to a cab. His stomach wound was healing, somewhat, but it still bled quite a bit when he checked it. It wasn't closing all the way, which was a problem. Grandfather had twisted the blade to make sure it didn't.
Morgaine would have taken him to a hospital and forced the doctor not to say anything.
Morgaine....
He couldn't believe she was gone.
Even in his feverish state, it takes him several seconds to pick the lock to Lian's door (gods, he hoped this was her door) and get inside. The apartment is empty. He's managed to catch her while she was out. He closes the door and locks it, then walks over to her couch, where he passes out again.
This time, he would make sure his wife came home with him.

He did rented a car under an assumed name at Star City International airport and then drove through the streets to his destination. Damn, he hated American traffic laws. There will be blood @ 12:23 pm
demonchild:
It was going to be a dark day in Star City. Or at least, it was going to be a dark day for those that dared to tangle with the League of Assassins. The plan was set in motion, and the League was on the move. They each had their mission. Vesper had already done his part and freed Bane from where they had been holding him. The guards at the Super-Max were currently keeping their hands full with a full-prison riot. It had been discovered that Slade Wilson was no longer at the prison, having been broken out by a team of individuals sometime previous, though that was neither here nor there. Getting a location for where Red Robin and his allies would be was difficult, but the Informant wasn't just your everyday run-of-the-mill hacker, she was one of the best. And now, Morgaine, along with her brother's decoy and the rest of the League, were in a helicopter headed straight towards Outsider's headquarters. "The plan is simple," Morgaine said, briefing her team for a final time before they began their attack. "While the Demon's Head has instructed us to kill anyone that stands in our way, we are merely providing a distraction while he rescues his Lady from her imprisonment. Do not hesitate do deliver a killing strike, but wiping out the entire team is not required of us at this time. We will keep them busy until the Demon's Head informs us that he has Lian, and then we will make our getaway. Understood?" A chorus of yeses arose from the team, and Morgaine nodded. "Excellent. We will be approaching the target shortly." When the helicopter was in within range of the Outsiders headquarters, a rocket was fired at one of the windows. Not one to bring the entire place to the ground, but it would definitely set the alarms off, at the very least. The team reached the drop off point, and the League of Assassins came in through the blown-out window. Morgaine pulled out both of her swords, a bloodthirsty grin crossing her face. "Knock-knock."

Immediately following the meeting with the other avatars, Cerdian attempted to speak to Jai, but the younger man almost literally vanished into thin air. Upon recognizing where Jai was headed before the battle, Cerdian couldn't fault him. He envied Jai's finding of someone he loved and who loved him in return. Cerdian had never experienced that in his young life and knew now that he never would. It was sobering, but there was little time to dwell upon it. He had others to speak with before too long. Leaving the Justice League headquarters, Cerdian bent the space between worlds and found himself at the front door to the West household. Dispelling his staff and creating normal clothing, rather than his robes, he walked to the door and knocked.

The physicians wanted her to wait longer, but Arthur needed to get back here and Cait didn't want to leave him around Ty for any longer than necessary. To be honest, she was surprised San Francisco was still standing after Arthur had already been there for a few days. Once they reached Metropolis they called the Tower and Cait asked Ty to come and get them. Cait was in bad enough shape with two healing stab wounds, she didn't want to add any additional misery by flying. Cait smiled after they appeared in the Tower. Teleporting wasn't her favorite method of travel, but it was still better than flying. The important thing was that she was home. Nothing felt better than coming home. "Hello?" she called out.

Team Meeting @ 02:33 am
first_son:
The Titans of myth being freed from Hades goes beyond just the YJLA. The adults are also working on it, but haven't had a lot of luck, especially with so many of their number in semi-retirement. As such, Jon moved beyond his original plan to hold a meeting of his team, and called to invite representatives of the other teams as well, calling all active roster YJLA, and inviting the other teams to send 1-3 people so things didn't get too crowded. Then they can inform their people what's going on. "So, folks, we have a big problem. The monsters and beings that have been appearing around the world were freed from the dimension Hades. We don't know how or by who. The Olympian gods have not been forthcoming, even to the Amazons, and even very powerful mystics have been unable to pierce the mystery... though past experience has taught us that's often the case with affairs of the gods. They limit their direct interference in mortal affairs, in exchange, mortals have a very hard time dealing directly with them. Sadly, even though the original Grecian Titans don't have any such compact, to learn what happened, we'd need to get past Hades' protections. The Greek gods may be incapacitated, or may be somehow bound by the compact of the gods. Its very possible that once the original Titans reached Earth, their captors couldn't directly interfere." He sighs. "Direct confrontation isn't the likely answer. Single gods have fought groups including my father, Wonder Woman and a handful of other senior leaguers. Many of the Titans have the power of an entire team. The Titans are more powerful still - the only reason the Greek Gods defeated them was due to greater unity and better tactics. Don't mistake me - they can be beaten, but we're going to need a good plan, and possibly more allies and greater resources. At this point, I'm open to ideas."

The radio, which had been playing an upbeat Taylor Swift song, suddenly cut off in the middle of the chorus. "Word that the Rainbow Raiderettes have appeared in downtown Keystone City has reached us here at KX293 FM. The Raiderettes are currently making their way through the stores at the Golden Ridge Plaza...shoppers are in a panic...." Iris didn't need to hear anymore. She hopped up, grinning. The small apartment was big enough for Cait and Ty to move about without bumping elbows too much, but with this many people it seemed smaller than normal. Wounds were tended to as best as possible and people found somewhat soft spots to relax. Cait ordered pizzas to be delivered, using up a good portion of her rainy day funds. This definitely qualified as a rainy day. She could always work a little more at the aquarium. Work. She had to remember to call work. She wouldn't be going in tomorrow and she'd tell them an family emergency had come up. Which it had. Cerdian was family. He had been like another brother to her when they were young. He was closer to her own age than her own brother. "So what are you all going to do now?" she asked the assembled crew. Yes, she asked what they were going to do. She wasn't a part of this and didn't want to be a part. Cait wasn't a hero.
