The Big Finale @ 09:18 pm
dc_misc:
The city of Star City looked deserted. The citizens had either fled or had been turned into black lanterns. At the heart of the city was the entity known as Nekron. Nekron used the city as his base as his black lanterns ravaged the Earth. The black lanterns increased their numbers each day and the power levels of the black lantern battery increased with each person that died. Soon Nekron would have enough power to obliterate all life on this planet.

The Battle For Oa @ 09:36 pm
green_lantern:
They appeared out of nowhere in space above Oa. The element of surprise was with them and for a brief moment there were no black lanterns to be seen. "Alright boys and girls, it's time to do this. We win here or the universe dies."No pressure at all.

Making Deputies @ 11:52 am
green_lantern:
The group of lanterns were gathered around in a circle not far from the North Pole. Larfleeze was practically bouncing that they were so close to the Fat Man's workshop and Dex swore he would punch the orange lantern just to make him stand still for longer than two seconds. They had business to attend to first and then they could talk to the Fat Man about getting Larfleeze the promised presents. They were going to create two rings of each color to help in the fight against the Black Lanterns. They would make more, but as it was the rings were only at half power. They would have to make do with what they had until they could find a way to get to Oa and see why the rings were depowered. Dex looked around the circle. Each color had two more rings, red had three, added to the ranks. It was time to send them out. He nodded and the newly created rings were thrown up into the air. They immediately took off and started seeking out wearers.

Backdated to Christmas Day @ 09:04 pm

Henry and Cassandra Cain sat opposite of each other at the dinner table in his dining room. They were midway through a conversation, although it was strained by Cassandra's consistent lack of trust for her half-brother. Something seemed off to her. Her eyelid were growing heavier, and her stomach churned. Then finally, she threw up. "Are you feeling well, Cassandra?" Henry asked in rhetoric. A smile was plastered across his face, and he set down his glass of wine. "No, of course you aren't. Oh, what a shame. Not only are you dying, but so is your beloved Bruce Wayne. Or, should I say the original Batman? It should be any minute now that a person posing as the assassin that failed to kill Bruce Wayne before, finishes that job. I really must say, this is quite the Christmas day." Cassandra lost consciousness after Henry finished speaking. She died shortly after, courtesy of a group of thugs taking out some anger on a returning Batgirl. Within the next hour, news hit the radio, television, and papers about the death of Bruce Wayne. A photo of his unknown killer -- known to the League of Assassins as Lady Vic -- was posted in the papers. She was not, of course, the real killer. One of Henry's trusted employees was just posing as her to do the job. The next day, Cassandra's body was found, and news hit the stands about her. As far as Henry was concerned, it was a fine week indeed. And nobody even knew he had done anything.

Merry Christmas, Love Henry @ 02:16 pm
jealous_heir:
'Twas the month of Christmas, when all through Greece, Not a villain was stirring, and all was at peace; The weapons were hung on the rack with care, In hopes that Henry Cain soon would be there; The assassins were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of spilled blood played in their heads; ( Soon Henry Cain... )

Eagle's Nest (Open to League) @ 09:12 pm

Alder started his post-mission rituals at the League base he was currently staying at. It involved clean and sharpening his weapon to pristine condition and if he could not do that he would melt them down and make them into new weapons. The mission had been a smashing success he had taken down his target and only had to kill four other people to do it. He had also done so without being detected to the only sign he had been there were the five dead bodies he had left behind.

Giving Thanks @ 05:10 pm
dc_holiday:
"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them." JFK In America today is a day for being thankful for the things in people's lives. Today was a day to celebrate family, friends, prosperity and health with food, family and friends. It is a time to reflect on what is important us and to recognize the gratitude we hold for having those things in our lives.

There will be blood @ 12:23 pm
demonchild:
It was going to be a dark day in Star City. Or at least, it was going to be a dark day for those that dared to tangle with the League of Assassins. The plan was set in motion, and the League was on the move. They each had their mission. Vesper had already done his part and freed Bane from where they had been holding him. The guards at the Super-Max were currently keeping their hands full with a full-prison riot. It had been discovered that Slade Wilson was no longer at the prison, having been broken out by a team of individuals sometime previous, though that was neither here nor there. Getting a location for where Red Robin and his allies would be was difficult, but the Informant wasn't just your everyday run-of-the-mill hacker, she was one of the best. And now, Morgaine, along with her brother's decoy and the rest of the League, were in a helicopter headed straight towards Outsider's headquarters. "The plan is simple," Morgaine said, briefing her team for a final time before they began their attack. "While the Demon's Head has instructed us to kill anyone that stands in our way, we are merely providing a distraction while he rescues his Lady from her imprisonment. Do not hesitate do deliver a killing strike, but wiping out the entire team is not required of us at this time. We will keep them busy until the Demon's Head informs us that he has Lian, and then we will make our getaway. Understood?" A chorus of yeses arose from the team, and Morgaine nodded. "Excellent. We will be approaching the target shortly." When the helicopter was in within range of the Outsiders headquarters, a rocket was fired at one of the windows. Not one to bring the entire place to the ground, but it would definitely set the alarms off, at the very least. The team reached the drop off point, and the League of Assassins came in through the blown-out window. Morgaine pulled out both of her swords, a bloodthirsty grin crossing her face. "Knock-knock."
