She Loves You @ 11:35 pm
rannsofaraway:
The Darkstar's ship arrived to chaos. A Thanagarian war-cruiser was in orbit around the Rannian colony would and what few defensive ships the Rannians had been able to field had already been blasted to scrap. The real fighting was going on on the surface and sky of the world, Rannian-soldiers in rocket packs dueling with Thanagarians on the wing. All this, the Darkstars could see from the bridge of their ship. "By the triple-suns..." Aleea breathed.

Dreams (Alerron) @ 08:16 pm
compassionate:
Alerron hadn't been sleeping, or at the very least not sleeping well. He didn't appear tired, but Katima could tell. He was restless in bed, moving about far more than was customary for him. Katima said nothing for a few days, waiting for the issue to resolve itself or for Alerron to come to her with what was troubling her, but he hadn't. Tonight, though, was different. Lying in bed, she watched Alerron as he readied to join her, her dark eyes studying his every move. "Beloved, what's wrong?"

Cry Havoc and Let Loose the Birds of War! @ 11:24 pm
dc_baddie:
Beta-Rann 7 was one of several Rannian colony worlds, primarily noted for being a source of crystals that could be used in the manufacturing of zeta beam technology. It was a hard place, and it produced a hard people. They'd had to fight against the elements and the native creatures for what was theirs, and even against pirates and other scourges of the spaceways a time or two. Once, its rough riding sheriffs even fought side-by-side with Adam Strange himself. The years have been kind to Rann, on the whole. The wars with Thanagar were long over, and Rann had resumed its rightful place in the galaxy. And what was good for Rann was good for Beta-Rann 7. Unfortunately, today was not going to be good for Beta-Rann 7. The Thanagarian ships had appeared out of nowhere, slipping past their defenses with surprising ease. Hundreds died in the initial bombardment. And then the troops went in. There was just enough time to send a distress call.

Space pirates attack! (Darkstars) @ 10:20 pm
spacerthief:
She had been with the Blood Wings for a little over a year. A fun crew to run with really. They fought and partied hard. They didn't care that by her terms she was still a kid. But she was starting to hate the Captain. They barely got enough food to eat. They hadn't seen decent pay in a few months and Sher was convinced that the Captain was now clinically insane. Smuggling themselves onto a Cerberus ship to steal it? Just sounded like a very poorly thought out plan. She had tried to protest but had pretty much gotten cowed into it no matter how hard she tried to fight it. She had been pretty much forced to do it or get spaced. She didn't want to die like that so she was just going to have to hope she could ditch them and get the hell off that other ship. It took them thirty six hours to go through with the plan. She was helped out by a krogan who had a soft spot for the angry young Thangarian. He slipped her the weapons she loved and they just looked at each other knowing it was show time. The proximity alarms had gone off. "Let's rock and roll," the yellow skinned Captain barked pulling out her combat shotgun.

Taking advantage of a slow period (Open, Darkstars) @ 12:48 am
actionlad:
Cyrus has been bored. Sure they're off saving people. But he has been stuck on his own in the cock pit for hours. So he has been trying to keep himself from going nuts. This is what they call cabin fever after all. He doesn't think it can be helped. It doesn't take very much for him to fly the ship. He is after all pretty much made for communicating with technology like this. The ship just speaks to him. But now he is leaning back and on a spare console up here since he didn't need or normally want help he was casually going over his personal ship. The family ship, the place that was home for him. He was doing this and not really paying attention to what was going on behind him so it would be easy for anyone to just walk up behind him and see what he was up to.

Giving Thanks @ 05:10 pm
dc_holiday:
"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them." JFK In America today is a day for being thankful for the things in people's lives. Today was a day to celebrate family, friends, prosperity and health with food, family and friends. It is a time to reflect on what is important us and to recognize the gratitude we hold for having those things in our lives.

Entering Eden Prime @ 08:44 pm
dc_misc:
A few days after the battle at Iagos, the Elusive Man calls for the team's presence in the War Room as they Normandy II makes its way to the Eden Prime system. They're a bit behind schedule for his taste, but he likes the reports he received of their battle at Iaogs. They fought decently as a team and accounted themselves well in saving the children being held by the slavers. The Elusive Man has his people looking out for the Black Sun Mercenaries and their operations now; if necessary, he'll have some of his other operatives begin to destroy their operation. For now, the team needs to get back to work. ( Read more... )

Iagos Incoming! @ 07:13 pm
dc_misc:
The Normandy II enters the Iagos system, dropping out of hyperspace to reveal a green, blue and white planet that seems slightly larger than Earth, illuminated by a yellow sun. There is a sparse belt of asteroids surrounding the planet, and if one looks closely enough, an asteroid falls toward the planet in random areas now and again. The crew members immediately get to their stations in order to calculate a flight path, analyze data and prepare Cyrus with any thing he needs to maneuver through the field. Once the ship is through the asteroid belt, a summons is sent to each of member of the quintet, directing them to make their way to the Cargo Bay. Upon their arrival, Urdrex is waiting for them, along with five crew members who are each holding a Cerberus-logo admin suit, followed by black and red Cerberus body armor. Once everyone is accounted for, Urdrex will motion for everyone to take a suit. "You'll all wanna get dressed as the atmosphere here is hazardous. We're having some trouble getting the location of the mercenary base, so we may have to wait until we're closer to the planet before we can try again. The area where your special plant is is about forty human miles from the Mercenary Base. It's your choice on where you wanna start, but if those mercs are worth their salt at all, they're gonna have long-range scanners of some kind. We can all take the shuttle down and hope it's enough to keep us off their scanners until we get what you all need. Then we proceed to the base and hopefully pick up the kid." Urdrex says.

Welcome to Omega @ 08:56 pm
dc_misc:
Urdrex checks his weapon again and watches from his position next to Cyrus as the ship pulls into the fire red planet that is Omega. Urdrex has been here a thousand times, and somehow, the place never becomes any more pleasant. In fact, it really only seems to get worse. He'd rather not take the kids, but the Elusive Man wants to see all of them at once, all together. He will call everyone to the Normandy's War Room while Cyrus getting the ship docked and ready to go.
"Okay, listen up. Some of you may not have been here before, so you need to know some things. First, keep the young ones, Cyrus and Mar'i, in sight at all times. Especially Mar'i. In fact, you'd do well to watch out, too, Katima. There are slavers here who wouldn't mind tryin' to capture and sell all of you off to harems on planets that make this one seem like a resort." Urdrex says, checking his weapons for the seventh time in two minutes. Anyone who knows him knows that this is the equivalent of him pacing the floors nervously.
"Go to the bar, ask for Aria, get into the Holosuite, and listen to the Elusive Man. Again, if you see a Green Lantern, do /not/ attract its attention. You see a Blue Lantern, do /not/ attract its attention.
Anybody got any questions before you move out?" he asks.

So This is What We've Got To Work With, Huh? @ 11:24 am
dc_misc:
The man known only as the Elusive Man sits in his chair on the other side of the holographic relay projector, his features wreathed in shadow except for two glowing emerald green eyes. He watches young Cyrus navigate the controls of the Cerberus Ship Normandy II and admires the fact that the kid can handle it. That was good. After two billions credits worth of technological developments and upgrades, someone had best be able to fly that ship. "Cyrus, you'll be under Urdrex's command while you two are recruiting the rest of the team. Don't take any unnecessary chances, you two. Find the people in the dossiers and get them to Omega as soon as possible; we don't have time to waste. Another colony has just been hit and if we don't do something about this soon, the rest of the universe is in a lot of trouble. Are we clear?" the shadowed figure asks, sitting back in his chair.

Aftermath and Beginings. @ 04:54 pm
compassionate:
Katima had opted not to return to Earth. Something about the battle had made it clear to her that, while she loved the boys, that was not where she was meant to be. She was linked to Alerron; something in her heart told her that and so she sent away her friends and she herself stayed behind. The wounds she had sustained were painful, but not dire. She would be fine and the bruises would heal. Physical things were minor, compared to the feelings she was reading from people on New Tameran. She sought out Alerron. She could tell he was suffering. She could tell he was worrying about his sister.

Victory and More @ 12:12 am
natandr:
Mongul and Blackfire were defeated, and Natand'r saw to it that his mother was treated for her wounds before he incarcerated her. She was volatile and unpredictable, but she was his mother. He was still unconscious and being dealt with elsewhere. Blackfire has prepared a way to keep him at bay and incarcerated should she find her usefulness for him to end, and Natand'r knew it all to well and instructed his guards to use it. With that side of the family dealt with, he looked to his other family to have A Talk. "I believe we have things to discuss, Alerron Yat." He wasn't very concerned with the other "heroes" as much as he was his cousin.

Approaching New Tamaran @ 03:10 pm
lantern_kid:
Once Sodam Yat finally was done with his mission and could reply to Henry's message, he was on Earth in the matter of hours. A short time later, and they'd assembled their team. Lead by the Ion-powered Yat, the rest of the team was made up of Henry, Avalon, Katima, LifeForce, Jon Kent, the Free kids of Hope and Avia, and, of course, Alerron, son of Starfire and Yat. The plan was a simple one. There would be many Tamaranians unhappy with Blackfire's rule. Head down to the surface, take out Blackfire, free Starfire. Once Starfire was free, the ruling of the planet should be easily transferred. This had been Josh's first trip through space, and he was still worried about his boyfriend. He made sure to hold his hand tightly through the space-trip, which thankfully was faster than he could do alone due to the warp capabilities of a Blue Lantern. He glances back to the others as the world comes into view below. "Everyone ready?" he asks them. "Remember, Yat and Alerron handle Blackfire. Hope and Avia, find Starfire and get her free. The rest of us, provide cover where needed. She'll probably have some muscle in there to help her keep power, but it shouldn't be anything too powerful -- she'll want to have control over them. Which means the rest of us can handle it." He leans over to whisper in Josh's ear, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze. "We're almost there. Hang on, handsome."

Always On Time @ 09:51 pm
somebodysave_me:
Alerron has flow all over Earth in the short time he's been on the planet, but his attentions always return to Coast City and a place in the city that he learned to recognize the first time he followed Lifeforce from high above the world. He was still getting used to all of the blessings afforded him by X'Hal, when he noticed that Lifeforce returned to the same place each day at a specific time. It also surprised him to find Henry there, along with Katima. He wanted to speak with her, but there was a chance of coming across the Naltorian, who also resided with them, and Alerron didn't want that at all. So, between saving people where he could, he found himself returning to the same spot, high above the world and practiced focusing his vision. The clarity with which he could see from his height still startled and amazed him, and he often followed Katima and her friend's journeys from what he assumed to be their home and another complex each day. Today, Alerron watched, and listened, as chimes sounded and hundreds of teenagers moved about the complex. It took him little time to establish that this was a school, not unlike his training habitat on Okara. There were daily battles, lessons, and a feeding period. To better understand Katima's new world, Alerron kept his vision focused upon her throughout the day, spending hours watching her. No, he did not consider this stalking in any fashion; it was quite the opposite. He was watching out for an old friend.

Crashed @ 09:02 pm
somebodysave_me:
I knew I shouldn’t have made that blind jump at Almerac.
Alerron Yat curses his fool luck and asks X’Hal to watch over him. The Black Sun mercenaries are still on his tail, all four ships worth of them, and he isn’t sure how long he’s been he’s been running from them. After the first twenty-four hours, time no longer held meaning. He knew he was tired of running, tired of being attacked. He prefers an honest fight to all of this space combat.
