The pain tolerable, so much so that it becomes intolerable when it ends. Jai's focus is shattered into a million tiny little pieces that he can't even begin to assemble.
Faces flash past his field of vision, of people he should know, but doesn't. Every moment, those faces get further and further away from him until he no longer sees them or remembers enough to know that they were there.
And again, Jai West slides into darkness.
