Grant my Last Request
Cerdian arrives at the safehouse and speaks to J'anna for a bit as they wait for Lian to arrive. He's nervous about seeing his best friend again after all this time, especially now that he knows his days in this world are coming to an end. He still needs to talk to J'anna, too, but he told her to go back to Tim for whatever time they had before things got too crazy.

Everyone deserved to spend their last moments with the person they loved most in all the world.

When Mia and Lian arrive, Cerdian is dozing lightly on J'anna's couch. He awakens immediately and smiles at both women, but his eyes immediately go to Lian.

"Hi." he says, smiling at her. "Long time no see."

	"There's no need to be scared. You've got tons of people who love you to help out. You're going to do this and do it well." he tells Lian. 	Cerdian sat with Lian, enjoying the fact that she was nearby. He wanted to make this time last forever, but he knew it wouldn't. Soon, he'd have to go. They watch the movie together and, at some point, Cerdian's hand finds Lian's. The movie ends and goes silent, before Cerdian finally speaks again. "I'm going to die, Lian." he says. "Very soon." 	Lian had dozed off through the movie, resting her head on Cerdian's shoulder. When she woke up, it was over. Not like she hadn't already seen it a thousand times. She turned at stared at him. Just stared. "No." She said. "No, you're not. I won't let you." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Neither of us have a choice in the matter, Darts. I saw it." he says.

"That's why I asked you about us, earlier. I just...I had to know if there was ever a chance or if I was just kidding myself." Cerdian says.

"I want you to take care of yourself, for your child. Don't go trying to save me or anyone else. Please, be selfish and think about your own welfare for a change." he pleads.

But I wanted to be a part of your life, no matter what, even if that meant just being your friend." he says, taking several deep breaths while he searched for words.

"The time for you taking care of me is over, Lian. When I'm gone, I want you and J'anna to be there for each other. Do you understand? I do /not/ want you two falling apart. You need to take care of yourself and your child now. You need to worry about your father. There are going to be a lot of people who need you, Lian.

If you want to do something for me, then grant my last request. Can you do that?" he asks.

"Cerdian, I..." Lian's voice trailed off. Cerdian was her best friend, she wasn't supposed to love him in that way, was she?

He was always there for her. And she'd go to hell in back for him. But she was in love with Damien, who yes, she really shouldn't be.

Was it possible to be in love with two people?

Lian didn't say anything. She just nodded, silently.

"Like I said, I'm not leaving until I'm sure you're safe, so we've got a little time. When Tim called and said you needed help, I wanted to come so that I could see you one more time." Cerdian smiles.

"I'm glad I got to. I didn't get to say goodbye to Princess Little Fish...and Iris didn't take it well when I said goodbye to her." Cerdian says.

He should have told Iris about Jai, but he didn't. He couldn't. Iris didn't deserve that.

	"You have no idea how much I wish I could, Lian, but I can't." he says sadly. He leans into her touch, trying make sure he remembers this moment for when his life flashes before his eyes. 	Cerdian wasn't expecting the kiss, but he took it for all it was worth, pulling Lian closer to him. This time, he would not cry or scream that he was going to die. In fact, right now, he felt more alive than he ever had. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Lian didn't know how long they kissed for, not keeping track of the minutes. Her head was spinning, and her heart was racing at a million miles a minute. No one else made her feel that...except Damien. When the kiss ended, she looked at Cerdian, silent for a few more moments. "I....I'm sorry," she said, "That was probably uncalled for."
