Grant my Last Request
Cerdian arrives at the safehouse and speaks to J'anna for a bit as they wait for Lian to arrive. He's nervous about seeing his best friend again after all this time, especially now that he knows his days in this world are coming to an end. He still needs to talk to J'anna, too, but he told her to go back to Tim for whatever time they had before things got too crazy.

Everyone deserved to spend their last moments with the person they loved most in all the world.

When Mia and Lian arrive, Cerdian is dozing lightly on J'anna's couch. He awakens immediately and smiles at both women, but his eyes immediately go to Lian.

"Hi." he says, smiling at her. "Long time no see."

	Cerdian begins to eat, enjoying the orange chicken and trying to make small talk with Lian. They continue like this for a while, until they're both full, at which point Cerdian starts to clean up and get the dishes started. "Has Tim called you with any new information?" he asks. "My father informed me well of how the wrath of cranky pregnant women works. I will not make that mistake." he says.

"Though you clearly got over that when we were five and you kissed me. Of course, I still thought girls had cooties, so I took it about as well as any boy at that age would." Cerdian says.

He wouldn't even let his mother kiss him for a week after that because he thought he was going to die. Looking back on it, it was silly and funny, and it was around the time that he realized he wasn't afraid to die because of the cooties.

He was afraid to die because it meant he couldn't marry Lian one day.

His smile faltered a little at the idea, but he continues to wash the dishes.

"Dad said that Aunt Dolphin was FRIGHTENING when she was pregnant. I think he's secretly glad that he wasn't around to endure my mother when she was pregnant with me. Less of a chance of getting poisoned that way." She laughed.

"I remember that! You told anyone that would listen that I gave you cooties and you were going to die." She smirked. "Drama llama."

Oh, to be five years old and think that the opposite sex had cooties again.

	"Hey, it's Drama Octopus, to you." Cerdian jests. Life was easier then, for everyone. Now Lian was going to be a mother. Cerdian always thought he'd be around for that, somehow.
