Grant my Last Request
Cerdian arrives at the safehouse and speaks to J'anna for a bit as they wait for Lian to arrive. He's nervous about seeing his best friend again after all this time, especially now that he knows his days in this world are coming to an end. He still needs to talk to J'anna, too, but he told her to go back to Tim for whatever time they had before things got too crazy.

Everyone deserved to spend their last moments with the person they loved most in all the world.

When Mia and Lian arrive, Cerdian is dozing lightly on J'anna's couch. He awakens immediately and smiles at both women, but his eyes immediately go to Lian.

"Hi." he says, smiling at her. "Long time no see."

	Mia gave Cerdian a quick smile and a nod, before hugging Lian and leaving. She had a lot to get ready before the meeting. Lian smiled a little nervously at Cerdian. "Hey there yourself." (Reply to this)(Thread)

"You, uh, you look great." Cerdian says, clearing his throat as he looks at Lian. He starts to look around the room a little nervously, as though seeking a topic of coversation while trying not to be uncomfortable in the blue jeans, leather jacket and blue shirt that Cait picked out for him not long ago. Before she...

"I was sorry to hear about Uncle Roy. Has there been any change?" he asks, moving a step closer to her.

	A small smirk crossed her face. "Liar. I smell like smoke, I haven't showered in over twenty-four hours, and I'm starving." Apparently, pregnancy makes you more brutally honest. She shook her head. "See my previous statement about you looking great." he says. She could have looked like something the cat dragged in and he'd probably still think she looked great, though.

"Roy's going to live, Lian. I know it." Cerdian says. Granted, he hasn't seen a vision to this effect, but he's learned not to rely so much on his talent the last few weeks. Watching his death replay in his mind made thinking about the future much less appealing.

"Why don't you shower and change and I'll make you a sandwich, Darts? Then you can tell me what you've been up to lately. I promise that J'anna only told me the Reader's Digest version she got from Tim.

Of course, she did say that Tim wasn't telling her a lot of stuff, but she didn't go digging for it, either. You need to talk to her." he says.

	"I sure as hell hope he is," Lian said with a sigh. "Sounds like a plan to me," Lian said heading towards the shower. A little while later, she returned, with a towel over her head and in a t-shirt and sweatpants that J'anna had left out for her. "I know I have to talk to her," Lian said, walking into the kitchen. "There would be several very sad and angry people in the world right now, if he had let you go back." Cerdian says.

"Because I would have dropped a tidal wave on his head, which would have upset J'anna and you. Then J'anna would have killed me and you and J'anna would be angry at each other.

So, Tim made the right decision, because I'd also find you and drag you back home and have a kraken eat this assassin." Cerdian finishes.

"All in all, I /prefer/ the current course. When this man comes here, he'll be made to rethink his plans and mend his ways. If he doesn't, I have that kraken on speed-dial." Cerdian tells her.

He may or may not be joking.

"They do, but most of it's no good for humanoids. They've got a way better dental package than sharks do." he says jokes, then immediately regrets it.

His expression sombers as he thinks of Cait and her favorite name for him: Sharkbait.

"At the risk of giving you more bad news, Lian...Cait died, recently. No. She was murdered by a Titan of Myth. I don't know where you were, but there was all manner of insanity going on in the world. Several of us were chosen as Avatars of the Gods to fight these creatures, and Cait defended Atlantis like I always harped on her about." he says, tears coming to his eyes.

He turns away from Lian to look at anything where she might not see him cry.

"I...I killed her, Lian. All I ever did was tell her about the princess she needed to be and all she ever told me was about how Atlantis would destroy her if she did. It turned out that one of us was right in the end.

I'm fairly worthless as a seer, unless it comes to seeing my own fate." he says.

"Why is this man after you, Lian?" Cerdian asks.
