For a moment, icy terror seized his heart, and then he remembered that he was a Vertigo.
"I think not, Herr Kapitän," he said, keeping his voice calm.
He reached for the knives he carried, knowing that they would be useless against the Captain, but knowing the gesture would divert attention from his eyepiece.
