Aquaman's Outrageous Adventure (Open to Teen Titans, Cerdian, AJ)
They had to spend a few days in Poseidonis before coming back to Titans' Tower due to Cait's wounds, but eventually she was well enough to make the trip. The physicians wanted her to wait longer, but Arthur needed to get back here and Cait didn't want to leave him around Ty for any longer than necessary. To be honest, she was surprised San Francisco was still standing after Arthur had already been there for a few days.

Once they reached Metropolis they called the Tower and Cait asked Ty to come and get them. Cait was in bad enough shape with two healing stab wounds, she didn't want to add any additional misery by flying.

Cait smiled after they appeared in the Tower. Teleporting wasn't her favorite method of travel, but it was still better than flying. The important thing was that she was home. Nothing felt better than coming home.

"Hello?" she called out.

He nods. "That's all I ask. I'm sure, looking back, we both would have liked things to go differently. I know you don't even want to be a hero. But like it or not, this keeps happening, and sooner or later, its going to come up again. And when it does, I want the opportunity to be there for you. I know you don't want to ask it of me, or feel like its burdening people... but I want you. All of you, including the part that's a reluctant heroine who will try and do the right thing when pressed, the part that doesn't want to trouble or burden anyone, and the part that's going to feel like she's supposed to be princess of Atlantis, even if she doesn't want it. I love you. All of you, including those parts."

Cait closed her eyes to hold back the tears. She took a deep breath and then opened them again to look at him. "I love you too. I never want to see you or the others caught up in Atlantis stuff. It's poison and eats at your soul."

Before Cait had just said that, but now she knew it was true. She could feel the darkness that had crept inside of her when she killed her cousin. It was something that would never go away and it would always be there.

Cait went quiet. When she spoke next her voice was very low. "I killed my cousin."

	He snuggles in close to her, carefully using telekinesis to make sure when he does so that he doesn't shift or aggravate her wounds. He also radiates a subtle warmth, using it to try and help comfort and relax her. "I'm so sorry, Cait. I... wish I could have been there. I might have been able to do something." "He stabbed me a second time and I lashed out with my powers," she explained as she snuggled close to him. "I stopped the flow of blood in his body. I didn't realize what I did until it was too late."

She closed her eyes and leaned against him. "I'd like to keep that from the Titans if possible. I don't think some of them would take it well." Dinah for one. Cait knew her stance on killing, even though this was an accident.

"I'll be fine. I just need to process it all. This, whatever is going on out there with the Greek monsters, a new sister, and Arthur's behavior. I'm still baffled by that. Besides, no shrink is ever going to be able to help solve my issues with Arthur. He would have to go too and we know that isn't going to happen."

Love, there is always, always going to be something. There will be monsters, and insanity, and villains, and because you're you, you're going to feel like its your duty to do something about it. But bottling it all up and just trying to be stronger than it... isn't working. That's how your dad became your dad. Put the world on his shoulders and deal with everything himself. You need to find healthy ways to deal with it, or you're going to end up as bitter as he is, even if you never set eyes on Atlantis again."

Cait would have automatically objected, but Ty asked her to do it for him. There was nothing she wouldn't do for him if he asked and now he was asking. She nodded. "You're right," she admitted. "I will go because you asked."

She softly kissed him. "You keep me sane. I don't know what I would do without you." She kissed him again and reached out with her mind. There was the familiar touch of his mind and she reformed the link with him. "I love you," she said as she opened her eyes and looked at him.

She sighed, enjoying the feel of him, physically and mentally. Right now all was right with the world and she had no other problems or issues. "After things settle down, we should go away somewhere. Even if it's only for a day or two. I miss the days when it was just the two of us."

I know you do. But I have a place I belong now. I like the times its just you and me... but I like it here too. I do more good than harm, and there's people around who have usually helped me keep an even keel. You most of all, obviously, but still. And you have friends... its good to see. Obviously there's things I'd like... but maybe I can start working with some people at S.T.A.R. on correspondence or something. Keep it low stress, but let other people test my theories on warp and dimensional theory... that might help bring in some money and help me contribute something. And then we can take a real vacation, not just for a day or two. Spend a week in the tropics. What do you think?/

Cait smiled. "I think it's great that you're thinking about working with some people at S.T.A.R. labs. I like it here too, but you have to admit life was a lot quieter and a lot less weird back in Metropolis."

While it was a short time ago, it felt much longer than that.

"I think we should take a day or two when the current mess is over and then take a real vacation some time down the road," she told him. While Ty was more comfortable with telepathy, Cait was more comfortable with spoken word. "We need some time to regroup and we need some time alone together. It's been awhile."

/I don't know about S.T.A.R. They had accepted me on an internship before things went totally crazy, but I'd need to see if they'd be willing to still work with me. I think me warp theories are sound though. And it would be real money./

He ponders her comments on Metropolis. /Quieter for a bit, but when things went bad, we didn't have this kind of help either. And all the big, world shaking things still would have happened - we just wouldn't have been right on the Bay. As I understand it, things weren't much better in Metropolis when that happened. I agree we need some alone time though. As soon as we get the Titans taken care of, we'll take a vacation./

"S.T.A.R. would be foolish to not work with you," she said. Then again Cait was a little biased. Just a bit. "I'm sure something can be arranged where you can collaborate with people there from here. People telecommute all of the time."

"We had a good stretch of quiet before life got crazy." She kissed him. "Even just for a day or two. Just a little bit of time just for us. That's all I want."

A yawn slipped out. The adrenaline rush was gone and Cait was feeling exhausted.

	"We haven't and I'd like that. A lot." Cait settled in and the pain subsided a bit now that she wasn't moving around.
