Oceanus
Oceanus, Titan and once ruler of the oceans, rose from the waters of the North Sea close to the Faroe Islands. He looked at the large monstrosity of a LexOil oil drilling platform rising out of the water. These mortals had the nerve to poison his oceans. Oceanus would show them what happened to insolent beings who dared to poison Gaea with their technology.

Oceanus summoned the power of the ocean itself as he moved toward the platform.

Petra had actually been in the midst of a visit to her mother's family when the trouble alerts started hitting the news. She was on scene as fast as she could fly.

Sure, why not? She jetted across the water, drawing up ice floes to bring herself up to eye level with the creature and still being on solid footing.

"Hey! You! What's the deal?"

Party clean-up was fun (even if Mom was annoyed about the lightsaber duel, it ROCKED!), and Jai was having a great weekend when the news about the oil rig came up on TV.

He put the call out to the rest of the YJLA and donned his costume, racing out of the door with only one thought.

Why do I seem to get all the fights on /water/ these days?

Still, he races at top speed toward the disturbance.

	Dex got the call when he was on his way to a fight. He was not happy about not being able to fight today, but JLA business came first. He put on his uniform and flew out the coordinates he had been given. A really big man was attacking an oil platform. Was this kind of weird shit normal for Earth? (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Michael had just gotten out of his English class (a class he abhorred) when he got the call. As fast as he could drop his things off he flew from Ivy Town to the North Sea to see a titan of a man moving the water and waves without a second thought.

And when he saw the oil rig, Michael could only think of one thing: This could get bad fast.

So Michael flies in as quickly as he can, using his powers to rapidly cool the waters that had been frothing, making them into solid chunks of ice.

Mo had been off-planet for most of the recent events due to an emergency call back to Oa (long story). Now back though the first thing she was greeted with was an ocean beast attacking an oil rig.

...in Mo's mind that wasn't a bad thing. Hadn't humanity worked out alternative energy sources here?

Personal opinions aside, she flew in and took a wide aerial of the scene.

	Michael saw just what was happening, so to possibly get the things attention away from the oil platform he instead took the water rushing headlong at him and concentrated, turning the water into oxygen as it was washing up at him Michael looked up defiantly at the giant, but inside he was surprised just how much that took out of him. Petra laughed in approval at the actions of the latest Firestorm model.

"Lemme show you how a pro does it!" She lets out a battle cry (psyching yourself up is important), and then dives into the water, emitting as much cold as possible and turning the area absolutely glacial.

Which is interesting enough, but then one of the mini glaciers grows into a vaguely humanoid shape and attacks the Titan.

	Oceanus moved back with the two hits at his head, but it wasn't enough to do much to him. He swung one fist down to the humanoid ice shape to completely decimate it, and another hand waved through the air to backhand Traya and Dex. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Kid Flash is grateful for the solid surface to run on, but after watching the Titan shrug off Dex's attack, he doesn't like the way this is going. Time for a change of plans. He easily stays ahead of the cracking ice as he races toward the Titan's leg, and up his body toward his face. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Michael is about to turn above the thing into liquid nitrogen when the swing knocked the wind girl from the sky.

"Ai ya, wo mun wan leh! Flash! GL!" is all he yells out before turning his attention to the Titan again.

Since straight transmutation takes more out of him than liked, Michael focuses on whats there. Specifically, the 78% of nitrogen in the air around the thing thats there.

Michael begins cooling the nitrogen quickly, making it into liquid and rain down on the Titan.

	Kid Flash races across the Titan's face, hoping to get it to at least hit itself once as he moves around it like an annoying bug. He does his best to stay ahead of the Green Lanterns so that he doesn't get smashed by giant green fists. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Oceanus is clearly annoyed. The rain and little running man don't bother him so much, but the green fists needed to go. He slapped his hands together to send a powerful shockwave out and knock back every one of the tiny humans, and then willed the ocean to birth a great wave. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Petra pales (and that's saying something for her) as the water starts surging. They're out of their league here. Time to prioritize.

She calls out to the others. "Kid Flash! Get ready for evac! I'll lay you out a path! Everyone else, grab who you can or lay down cover fire or defensive walls!" She plunges her arms back into the water, forming a tunnel of ice stretching from the base of the oil rig towards shore.

Oh, crap.

Michael flies down towards the red-head that had called out, turning his attention to the huge wave coming in. He notices that the wave, while large, still isn't quite far from the big thing.

A quandary, little man.

"Oh, now you say something! Help!"

Michael, that wave will do a lot of damage, unless something takes the energy away. Possibly an explosion to break the wave and possibly cover your friends escape?

"What can make that much water explode?"

Caesium

"Red, if I pass out because of this, make sure I don't get stomped on by big and ugly there," Michael calls as he pulls as much power as he can.

Caesium. Atomic number 55. Atomic weight...

The water that had been pulled up had now become a large amount of silvery metal that begins to smoke in the air. as the mass of smoking silvery compound hits the water, however, things get explosive.

Huge amounts of smoke and fire erupt where the wave had been. But Michael does not see this. Unconscious, he dived down onto the ice.

	Dex was thrown back by the shockwave and landed in the water. He surfaced and took the air just in time for the wave to explode. He was pushed back into the water by the force of the water. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
