Cerdian's hopes fall with each passing minute. He loves Cait dearly, but to see her so unwilling to claim her birthright and give her people a chance is disheartening. Allowing a pretender to remain on the throne is less pleasant, but at this rate, Arthur and Mera would need to bear another child for the succession to continue.
"Heavy is the head that wears the crown, Cait, but that crown was entrusted to your family. I will not trouble you further on this, for now, but we will discuss this again." Cerdian tells her.
When the waters begin to churn around them, Cerdian takes hold of the sea shell necklace Cait gave him so long ago and begins to murmur softly, exerting some of his own influence upon the waters to smooth them. He does not try to override or oppose Cait's power with his own; it is more that he tries to match it to hers in order to calm the waters are around them.
"Your focus needs focus, Princess Little Fish." he teases.
