Lian just listened, occasionally sipping on her wine idly. The way Damien read the story drew her in, and she found herself hanging on every word.
She was a little disappointed when he stopped reading, to tell the truth.
"It was beautiful," she said, "You read it so...vividly. I felt as if I was there."
