To Rescue the Sea Queen
Cait had finally come out of her funk over losing Koryak to start thinking again. She knew what she had to do. First, rescue her mother. She would not let her mother sit in a prison cell any longer. Once her mother was free, then it would be time to go find her father. As much as she didn't want anything to do with Atlantis, she would take care of her family. Atlantis would be their concern.

Cait put on her uniform.

It was time for some action.

Dinah had spent the better part of an afternoon getting the Bug ready for aquatic action. True, there was the T-Jet, but the Bug was already designed to function in a submerged environment and just needed a run down of its pressure seals and some reinforced plating.

It had the advantage, too, of manipulator arms and weapons the T-Jet did not. And it still had more than enough internal space for their needs.

Vic had been staying with the Titans since they had been nice enough to invite him to stay. He had been staying out of their way not wanting to really get in their way. He had heard about what had been happening with Cait and volunteered to help in any way he could.

He was sitting out of the way meditating.

Steve, too, was meditating out of the way. He prepared his mind for what was surely to come. He wore a costume that was duplicated from his father's old costume.

AJ was there too. He owed Cait, and right now she was the closest thing to family he had. Something very wrong was happening in Atlantis, and it was time for him to finally fill the role people were expecting of him.

"Is there anything else that we should know?"

"Not that I can think of," Cait said. "I have a good idea where she's being held, but I'll know better once we get closer. I figured AJ and I can cause a distraction outside while the rest of you rescue Queen Mera. I will show you the entrance to the tunnels under Poseidonis which will take you under the dome and into the city."

Vic got up in a quick and swift motion. It had occurred to him that he should asked about the similarities between Atlantians and Normal humans but he could do later.

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step,” he said quietly as moved to get in.

"Okay," Cait told Steve. "We'll have to deal with some soldiers." Cait walked into the Bug. She didn't like the prospect of flying across to the Atlantic, but she'd be okay once she was in the water. Maybe this time she won't get sick. She hoped.

Oh yeah. This was going to be a comfortable mission.

"Anchors away," Dinah muttered, as she powered up the Bug's drive and lifted it into the air.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We are currently cruising at an altitude of five miles and will be making a cross country trip before preparing to dive in the Atlantic Ocean. Please observe the no smoking sign, and be aware of the location of the emergency exits."
