It takes Cindy a second to catch her breath. A couple, actually.

Then she pushes with her one free hand to turn herself towards the arm Nic has pinned while trying to get her feet angled enough to turn and shift at the waist, hoping to shake her off.

Well, mostly hoping. On the rational I'm-supposed-to-be-learning-and-showing-I-can-learn-so-it's-impressive level.
