Meeting the Natives
It wasn't something Dex would have thought on his own, but Maura had insisted on him meeting the Young Justice League. He had learned about the League through other green lanterns when he was on Oa and heard many stories about their bravery and actions. He had hoped to get assigned to Earth and be able to fight along side of them.

He changed into his uniform and headed over there.

He was undaunted as he approached their headquarters.

"I figured," Traya said, She'd been surprised by it too and, of course, it was no small fact that it had been Henry who'd pushed the two of them into dating.

"It sucks all around," she said.

"I'm sorry." he says, taking her hands. "I'm not upset with you. I just...I miss how things were, you know? Around this time last year, we were planning the Halloween Party. We were talking Irey's and my birthday." Jai says.

"You're one of the few things going right in my life these days. The other is that you helped me pass that Pre-Calc test I was so worried about. I'm totally going to be ready for Calculus next year." Jai says.

"We should plan a party of some kind. You and me."

Traya nodded. "Things change," she said, "and we don't always like the way they do. Doesn't make missing it any easier."

She smiled. "I like the sound of that."

"All right. Then we'll get something planned." Jai says, and remembers what else he needed from Traya.

"Hey, I need your help. I've got Irey's birthday gift all ready and stuff, but if I hide it at home, she's going to find it. Actually, there's a pretty good chance that if I hide anywhere in Keystone or Central City, she'll find it.

So...I was wondering if you'd help me find a hiding spot that will keep her out for the next two months? Any ideas?" he asks.

"I could hide it in the apartment," Traya offered. "I've got closet space."

She thought about that. "But that won't work if Iris comes over. She might see it. Hmmm."

"These days, I'm starting to think the only way it'll be safe is if I hide it on the moon or something." Jai says.

Then his eybrows shoot up in excitement.

"That's it! I just have to hide her present on another planet!" Jai says.
