An Interesting Customer Today
Scott was sitting at his work bench, incredibly BORED. No work today, nothing cool since last night.  The half-finished Beetle Baton sat there, taunting him, but he'd rather not mess with it til Dinah came over again.

"Arg! A supervillain, a mugging, a television to repair! My kingdom for a broken Swiss timepiece!" Scott yelled to the ceiling and moaned. He couldn't do Facebook, since Scooter was already addicted to FarmVille, and there was nothing good on TV at 2 in the afternoon. So he sat and waited and tinkered with a small silver box like device with a lightning bolt design of copper wires on it.

"No problem. It was my pleasure. Now then if you need anything you just review that business card and call me. And you got the repair slip so you can review what I did for your watch there."

Scott grins. Because on the back of the repair slip he drew, with his gold biometric ink, an hourglass. A simple hourglass. Let's see if she figures that out.

"Or call if you want to get lunch again. That always works too."

"Well... maybe," Wendi said, smiling. "Especially if the food's as good in the rest of the neighborhood."

Another smile. "Thanks for everything, Scott."

"My pleasure. Pizza and a nice girl to eat with. Sadly..." Scott pulls out his pocket watch, totally forgetting he's wearing his artillery watch already (tells time and has a minor laser inside. Very useful). "I have to go back and finish Mr. Barone's television and Mr. Schmeindrick's watches. But if you do end up back in Queens, my door is open for you."

"Well, I won't keep you then," she said, and started inside the station. She turned a gave a little wave. "See you around."

Scott waves back and turns back to Western Time. He starts wondering how long til she touches the paper and sees the shimmering golden hourglass appear on the back of her repair slip. And how badly she'll freak when she realized he figured it out.

Okay, so Scooter figured it out, but I built Scooter. So same thing.
