A Girl with Kaleidoscope Eyes
Backdated to May 31st

Things weren't all that great when Avia started to open her eyes. She was to find herself strapped down to what appeared to be a dentist's chair. Each wrist and ankle was shackled, and she was pressed back into the seat with a strap over her thighs, waist and chest. The room around her was completely black, seeming to hold nothing but the dentist chair and the bright white light that shined in her eyes.

There was silence all around her... nothing, not even the sound of breathing.

"Well. Not your fun, but mine own." replied the man, his voice seeming to come from the right then the left. If Avia realized it or not, he was using his rings to throw his voice.

There was a sound of metal on metal, and then Malicor's tone took on a rather thoughtful tone as he said "It vexes me that I have yet to see the internal workings of a human." he then shared. "Of course, thine might not be human either. But we shall see.."

Plenty of tricks a person could use to achieve that kind of effect, Avia could name six off the top of her head and those were even just the mundane ones.

But for right now? She had to keep the guy talking, distracted, while she slowly worked herself free. Crap. She was going to have to dislocate her thumb if she wanted to free her hand. Always painful. Doable, but painful.

"You know, they make these machines these days call MRI's? Gives you a great look without the mess."

"I am unfamiliar with thou MRI machine. It must be a human contraption." Malicor answered, though he was disinterested in conversation. He was much more interested in filleting or skinning or whatever it was that he had in mind for Avia.

"I hope to develop something with thee, though ye may not care for it." he said, "For I've great plans for my nemesis. You shalt help me in discovering the best way to see those plans to fruition. I wilt have his screams grace mine ears."

Avia was not the warrior that her sister or mother were, but she knew plenty about ignoring pain, pain like the dislocating her thumb so she could slip her wrist through its bond. Then carefully make it look like she hadn't. Had to play this just fight.

"Nemesis, huh? Major league bad karma, dude. Who're you bringing all this bad mojo down on?"

"Henry Jordan" hissed the man, though it seems that Avia did a good thing by asking the name of Malicor's true target. His voice showed rage unequaled for a moment, before he cleared his throat and tried to grasp control over himself once more.

"You have a purpose however, for thine love of life will charge my Violet ring." he then proclaimed, sounding quite pleased with himself. There were more sounds of metal on metal, and then Avia's tormentor finally made himself seen. He stepped just into the light, a rather wicked looking scalpel in his hand.

Major league bad karma, Avia thought. This was several degrees of not good, and quite a bit outside her usual pay grade. But not for nothing was she the daughter of the universe's greatest escape artist or the universe's greatest warrior.

As soon as her captor was close enough, she brought her feet (free? Of course she was free. It was even her name) up in a wicked kick.
