Contrary to popular belief, Rex does love his little sister. He has issues with her choices and he resents being saddled with her with little more than a "by your leave" from his parents, but he would never turn Nicolette away if she needed something.
But the stunt she pulled by going out until all hours wasn't going to fly with him.
He brought home Chinese food and a few other things, careful to have prepared her gift elsewhere so that she wouldn't suspect it. However, now that he's inside the apartment, he provides Pnnt a foil wrapped bundle that smells of bacon and sausage.
"If you don't die from eating this, I want to know how it was. It was tough to cook. Happy Birthday, sis." he says, offering her a small smile.
