Nate couldn't help but get caught, and his gaze was forced in the direction of Mongul, his father. He saw a man, no--a monster, beating the life out of those Lanterns and the human boy. He understood punishment, but not such extensive torture. And the eyes that Mongul had, eyes that were drunk at the deeds done, were something Nate could not believe he'd looked into with trust once before.
Then Nate stopped struggling. He still hadn't decided on what had been said about his mother, but he was sure that his father needed to be stopped.
"If you want them to life, you need to let go."
