Regrouping (bendytimed back to right after the others showed up)
The small apartment was big enough for Cait and Ty to move about without bumping elbows too much, but with this many people it seemed smaller than normal. Wounds were tended to as best as possible and people found somewhat soft spots to relax. Cait ordered pizzas to be delivered, using up a good portion of her rainy day funds. This definitely qualified as a rainy day. She could always work a little more at the aquarium.

Work. She had to remember to call work. She wouldn't be going in tomorrow and she'd tell them an family emergency had come up. Which it had. Cerdian was family. He had been like another brother to her when they were young. He was closer to her own age than her own brother.

"So what are you all going to do now?" she asked the assembled crew. Yes, she asked what they were going to do. She wasn't a part of this and didn't want to be a part. Cait wasn't a hero.

	Using a mixture of sudden herbalism and violet fire, Ty works on healing the wounds of the assembled, bit by bit. "And how can we help?" 	Cait knew what he was doing. Nothing worked better than guilt and right now she had a big helping of it. Her shoulders slumped. "I'll do anything to help." "We're going to get them back," Lian says, trying to sound confident. "But running head-first into Mongul with two extra people isn't going to end any better than it did last time. The first thing we need to do is figure out what our resources are and compare that to what we know about Mongul's resources."

The second is to get Henry alone and talk to him. Lian has seen Uncle Hal shatter tanks with that ring. No way in Hell it should have been that useless against Mongul.

	Traya frowned, but was forced to admit that they had a point. But these guys had her dad! And everyone else's too. But... Her dad had rescued her, when she was just a baby. Iris is shaking as she picks up her cellphone and dials.

She just barely managed to escape what had just happened....

Her parents...they'd been taken from her...and she couldn't save them...he was too powerful.

It had been a while since Iris had seen any of her friends from her childhood. Still, Cait was the first person that she thought to call.

She's trying her best not to sob as she listens to the phone ringing on the other end.

"Please pick up..." she says, twisting a strand of red hair around her fingers, "Please..."

Cait was a little surprised her phone was ringing. Only a very few people had her number and the one with the most reason to call her was in the room. Ty was the only one who called her on a regular basis and then it was usually to see what time she would be home from work. Her father would never call and choose to drop in unexpectedly.

She grabbed it and answered it. "Hello?"

	Teddy has another piece of pizza in one hand, and an unopened soda in the other. He really doesn't like carbonated drinks, but there's no coffee, and that's what he really wants. Ty is headed up to the roof for watchman duty. It seemed the best place to see anything coming, even though he already has a psychic screen up to catch any hostile minds entering the area. Just in time to catch the last bit of that conversation.

"I don't know a lot, probably not nearly as much as you, but I do know mastering power rings can be kind of tricky. If this guy is as powerful as everyone says, maybe he has some way to block it?"

Teddy's been saying things like that for roughly fifteen of his seventeen years, and Lian's been reacting the same way the entire time, so the open palm that lightly whacks him on the back of the head is mostly absent-minded.

"Get some sleep, Henry. We're going to find your dad, and I think you're going to do great with that thing as soon as you learn to ignore everything except what you're doing."
