Pippi isn't sure about all of this. Shapechangers were just complicated - but they needed to help Xian. She trails along, trusting Barbie and the other really smart people to have some idea what's going on, while she just uses her powers to help with the 'keeping an eye out', asking some of the local wildlife to help look for any bad men with guns.
