Treason?
There were times that she hated this job. This being one of them, but this came from the top. They couldn't afford a blow like this to the still relatively new JLI project. She sent a message to the Hall of Justice to expect her arrival.

"Considering that Xian has been reporting on us, they're likely to do a headcount of the remaining members of the team before they leave," Dinadan said, without rancor. "Especially of those members of the team who might be most easily smuggled in."

He crossed his arms over his chest. "Xian, your call -- you want us to see if we can get someone to whip you up some sort of emergency back-up GPS in case your countrymen decide to smuggle you out?"

He had to ask. Xian was adult enough that he could risk his life fighting monsters and supervillains, he was old enough to make a decision like this. Whether or not the rest of the team would make a similar decision would be determined once Xian was out of the room.
