Happy birthday Thomas (backdated to the 27th)
Thomas was tough to shop for, but Maria managed to find a few things for him. She got a new collar for his cat. Pink with rhinestones. She also wrote out a note that gave him off a night of patrol duty and she would take it for him. He would also get a shirt. She also got him a gift card to Best Buy for a few hundred dollars.

She made him some cupcakes to go with his gifts.

Eye roll. "Not like I'd be allowed to wear this shirt in public anyway you know." Mr. Paws batted a freed pink rhinestone at Maria, then went back to happily pouncing on his present. Because it was his now.

"He enjoys the present too it seems."

Thomas laughed briefly. "Oh come on, you know the lengths he goes to to make sure there absolutely no association between him and Batman whatsoever. You don't want people to even consider it, so you don't give them a reason to connect the two, even jokingly. I mean, he's not going to wear a Batman shirt or show up to some Halloween thing dressed as even a campy Batman. And I'm not going to go around wearing a Robin shirt for the same reasons. Associations. Though under a jacket or something it doesn't matter."

"Whatever, I have cupcakes and the night off. Want to go wreck havoc tomorrow or something?"

Maria smiled. "You know I'm always up for wrecking havoc. Particularly if there's a substantial amount of alcohol involved."
