Iota had long ago learned to bake sonhos because Mae loved them, but since Mae wasn't here, she needed help eating them. So she cheerily brought them to her cousin. Well, mostly cheerily. "Carolyn! Would you like some sonhos? And have you seen Tomas?"

" 'I doubt you're cousins on his mother's side,' like how our family works is any of his business, and talking about how we can't kill people -- and of course I understand finding dead people a downer; I think so too, but berating me about it when Tomas hasn't even killed people in gotham and the people we were tracking have killed plenty is just count... you know, that word that means it's not useful."

A brow raises, then a hint of a smile.

"The debutante's information has been useful in giving me some leads to follow. It quickly became obvious that the Bats would get in the way whatever happened eventually... but a lot of the end of our trail is here. Someone in Gotham is the other end of the drug trail from the south.

The bats, predictably, want the clowns. So we're going to make some Jokerz hurt until they give us something useful on who is giving them their marching orders. Then we're going to let the Bats and the Clowns eat each other while we get our job done."

"We're in Gotham, its not like there's a choice. She keeps showing up and sticking her nose into everything - if we give both the bats, and the clowns a distraction, they'll limit the trouble for us from either one. Meanwhile, she's giving me intelligence on the other major figures in the local underworld. I'm under no obligation to tell her what or who I'm following up on."
