Re: At the pizza place
Maria felt like she had a pit where her stomach used to be. Skipping lunch and getting stuck in rush hour traffic did little to help. Of course arguing with Thomas on the way over did help her get her mind off of her hunger.
"Finally," she said as they walked into Maria's favorite pizza place. "I can eat a large by myself."
